10.01.2022 July 15 Working with your energy not against it - living intuitively . Today my energy was low and flat.... . No particular reason... I'm just a human being. . Thankfully, I happened to not have any plans. . (So often we feel like this on our days off when we eventually stop and are actually given the chance to feel our crap.) . Being self-employed, there were plenty of things I would have scheduled in had I been in the right mind frame. . I got done anything essential early on, like product orders and screening intake forms for upcoming consults by riding the wave of energy generated through a quick yoga session and after that I honoured where I was at. . For me, re-filling my cup looks a little like this... . Chakra cleanse meditation to open my heart (25minutes). . Fasting instead of breakfast as my body told me a cleanse is what it wanted. . Yin-yang yoga, balancing masculine and feminine, combined Vinyasa and Hatha (30 minutes). . Second meditation to connect to chakras 8-12 (because this came up during last night's meditation and learning about new things lights me up). (15 minutes) . Lunch - a cup of soup made with chicken, veggies and legumes and a massive bowl of sauted veggies - cabbage, mushrooms, beans, zucchini, onion, and lots of warming, pungent spices & dried apricots & raisins (big meal when agni -digestive fire- is strongest) . Barefoot bush walk (slow stroll) to ground, centre & energize - Always crave the trees, earth and air when feeling a bit off. And was even blessed with some rain (2 hours ish) . Home for some apple & mulberry crumble and a cacao, maca and turmeric latte in macadamia milk. . Quick read of my book . Bath time. Complete with candles and essential oils. . I remember a time where I thought I always had to be doing "productive stuff" or being social. I'm much happier and more peaceful now. See more

01.01.2022 Trusting your Inner Guidance with Food . I've been craving a more plant-based way of eating lately gravitating towards recipes packed full of legumes, seeds and fresh fruits and vegetables which is a very welcomed change given I grew up in a family of butchers. . I've tried to cut out meat in the past by placing the strict label of 'vegetarian' on myself and choosing only plant-based meals despite my bodies signals and cravings for meat.... . Back then, I was not at a place psychologically to meet all my nutritional needs with a vegetarian diet so the cravings for a quick protein fix delivered through meat consumption never really faded despite my discipline. The type of vegetarian diet I had been living on left me feeling ungrounded & out of my body without adequate fats and proteins to 'densify' & ground some of my scattered, flighty energy. . Today, I find myself averse to meat intuitively and see myself cooking the most nutritionally dense meals yet, feeling totally satisfied and grounded afterwards. I guess I'm just in the right place at the right time, right now - I notice this, act on this, and allow the momentum to generate. . Tomorrow, or even later today, I might feel like meat again and I will honour my body without hesitation, trusting my inner guidance and having faith that it always knows the most efficient and beneficial path towards fulfilling my bodies every need. . I trust that each day I might feel differently and honour the contrast I experience from moment to moment by adjusting my choices & actions to be aligned with my cravings and desires, without judging them. I understand that these can change in the blink of an eye, and that's perfectly ok. . This is how we start to flow, to let go of rigidity and to live more intuitively. This is how we live for our selves, rather than following the guidance of those around us who will never know us as well as our inner voice does. See more
