If your looking for some more pots or something gardening to read over the weekend head on over. If your looking to collect some seeds we have garlic chives and mustard seeds ready on the plants for collecting. We have a new herb for you to try. Native saltbush tastes a bit like a salty lettuce. It’s great on meat or in a salad. we ...also have a few cucamelons and tomatoes coming on if you would like a snack. we have loads of lemongrass doing really well. we have had a donation of some plants as well if you would like some for your garden. Yes it’s all free for your personal use. Please don’t remove whole plants from the garden. Just make sure that with anything you pick you leave enough to share with others.

19.01.2022 HSA would love to thank everyone who has helped this year in making us a great free community garden by giving us: herbs , pots, magazines and advice. We have really loved meeting all the people who stop by, and sharing our love of herbs, community giving and gardening. We have a beautiful shady seating area at HSA that you are welcome to stop by at, have a browse of our magazines, and a rest if you visit. Several things are planned for the New Year! Don't forget if... you are looking to make that Christmas roast/salad/dip/platter perfect, please drop by and cut some free herbs. We have an amazing range to choose from In the meantime, if you are local over the Christmas break, there are a few things you can do to help: declutter and donate your old gardening magazines sort and donate your used pots or organise a pot drive with your neighbourhood water the herb beds. Watering cans are available if you follow the fence round to the right and go thru the gate. First tap on your left will have some watering cans available. We really need help with this if it's dry or windy over the Christmas/ New Year period help sort and stack pots that people donate. We appreciate that not everyone has time for this when they drop pots off message us about what herbs you might be able to contribute. We are always after rare or diverse herbs arrange a date to come and try some interesting herb tea and view our other gardens If you have the skills we would love to have people propagate some of our more diverse herbs share our posts with your local community so that those who are leaving or new to Canberra can become part of the circular economy Talk to us and the Canberra gardening community about how we can make free herb gardens a Canberra wide community initiative B1 and B2(Me) wish you all a Merry Christmas and holiday. We look forward to meeting even more of you next year

17.01.2022 Is anyone interested in some white mulberry cuttings to have a go at striking? I am needing to cut back the tree that is shading my garden. It fruits well once it gets big and provides beautiful summer shade. Pick up Amaroo

15.01.2022 A bit of a slow down over the summer but Herb Station Amaroo is always open 24/7 for your herb and gardening needs. We have a few herbs that have flowered and have now gone to seed. Feel free to come and collect some seeds for either cooking or re sowing into the garden. Featured in the pics are caraway, coriander and mustard. Don’t forget our free pot swap and garden magazine swap. Many thanks to those who are donating pots and gardening magazines
