25.01.2022 Well today we welcomed 19 new goats to Herden farm that are now settling in for the evening in their new home. A varied mix of ages and all pure breed boers. More to join them soon.

23.01.2022 A video of the trenching machine in action. Slow and steady.

22.01.2022 We were very lucky to have a good friend who was wanting to practice his drone skills out on a large property and generously spend a whole afternoon shooting the most amazing photos and videos.

22.01.2022 Here are some pics of our farm at the best looking part of the day around sunset. Goats are all going well and we are now starting to get farm prepared for next kidding which is around May. Could be a few early surprises

21.01.2022 Young kid sisters having an afternoon play.

19.01.2022 Rain finally gone and this has allowed us some time to catch up on our preparations for this year's mating season and kidding to start around mothers day. With daylight savings finished we are happy to say we have most essential work finished. We have 2 patients in the recovery ward

16.01.2022 On the way down to Goulburn today we found this little fella on the road.

15.01.2022 I am so pleased with the way the millet is taking off. This is the first time growing Millet with a mix of chickory and a small percentage of tall fescue grass. Mixed with other grass seeds for pasture land, millet provides a consistent food source once it has established itself at about 18 inches. Its digestible protein value is higher than that of corn and comparable to those of oats and barley.

12.01.2022 It is that time of the year again and im sure the sheep are feeling very relieved and a lot cooler now.. You may notice a smaller sheep in one of the shots

10.01.2022 This little girl had to travel in air conditioned comfort as she most definitely would have been trampled out the back in the trailer with the other goats. Bron ended up putting her in the back seat area where she slept the entire trip. No mess in my car..bonus

10.01.2022 One of our jacaranda trees is starting to turn a lovely shade of purple

09.01.2022 Let the goats in for a clean up around the dam. Like kids in a lolly shop.

07.01.2022 Well I suppose the pic of banshee the sheep on the right is both Bron & I having a little fun with my hat and glasses but you would never believe that the pic with her wearing pink gumboots is a very clever way of keeping copper sulphate in and around the hoof areas to treat foot rot.

07.01.2022 Paddocks looking lush and green with chickery growing back so quickly.

03.01.2022 Plenty of trenching work completed this weekend. So much work to do on top of the already long list but it will be worth it in the end.

03.01.2022 Caramel slice is going to be busy soon. Getting bigger every week and he has such a calm nature.

03.01.2022 Yep ! Mia got a shearing from me as well!

02.01.2022 Happy Easter everyone. Yesterday was perfect weather so I decided to slash the top off the heavily overgrown paddock which unfortunately is becoming a haven for snakes. I had the slasher raised at full height so I wouldn't damage the lovely chicory undergrowth that was hiding below. I only attempted to finish part of this paddock as the tractor started to sink into the soft ground.

01.01.2022 Bron and June planted 80 Salicifolia (hakea) trees along the fence line today. These trees will grow to be an excellent wind break for this paddock.
