24.01.2022 We are sometimes asked if Alpacas are any good as guards and do you need one or two? Tonight heading into the paddock it was clear that something was a miss. There was a threat in the paddock and the alpacas rounded up the goats and kept them in a huddle until the 'threat' had passed. Here they are guarding the goats...except for one, Drambuie, who was having a pee.... The threat? A 'killer' wombat.

20.01.2022 A sad day on our farm today. We had to say goodbye to one of our matriarchs, Toppsy (Grey Top in the stud book). She, and her sister Moppsy (Jet Star), were our first greys and we bought them from Val Donald over 11 years ago. RIP Toppsy and thank you for being such a big part of our Heritage Angora Goat journey.

06.01.2022 On 6 September we found our only, precious black doe Star, lying on her side in the paddock. She was due to kid in 10 days. After tests, it was determined tha...t she had been bitten by a snake. Devastated, we did all we could to save her. She has made some improvements from her almost comatose state and can now sit up. Her front legs now move and her back legs are starting to show signs of movement. The road to recovery is going to be long. But yesterday a miracle happened. She delivered a beautiful little doe. Although white in colour, she will be carrying her mother's black coat gene. Praise the Lord.
