22.01.2022 While the beginning of our 2021 school year hasn’t looked quite as expected we are working hard to make sure we are ready for whatever next week is going to look like based on the health advice we are given today and tomorrow. Whilst our K-10 students have had an additional week holiday this week, our Year 11 & 12 students have been back at school via remote learning this week to limit pressure and stress on them later in the year despite the current Covid-19 lockdown. Whilst... we are hopeful that all students will be able to safely return to face-to-face learning next week we are well prepared and able to deliver remote learning for each student if that is what the health advice is safest for our college community. We will update families via the HCP App when we have information on what is likely to happen next week. If you have any questions please get in touch with Reception anytime.

19.01.2022 QUOTE OF THE WEEKThroughout the many trials of life, it is important for us to remember not to let the world around us squeeze us into its mould - let God mould and shape us as clay in the hands of the master potterIn Romans 12:2, the word transformed literally means metamorphose - the process of a caterpillar changing into a beautiful butterfly!

18.01.2022 K/PP COMMUNITY HELPERSOver the past few weeks K/PP have been very fortunate to have several guest speakers from the wider community visit us to share their knowledge and skills in their given area of expertise By having real experts from the fields come and talk to the students, they get firsthand experiences, providing rich and meaningful learning opportunities to take part in. We had Sercul come and talk to us all about turtles in the wild and how we can take our own ...active role in helping protect and keep them safe Prior to our turtle talk we spoke as a class about how we could gain as much learning from our visit from Sercul as possible, and K/PP created their own turtle questions of what they wanted to find out On Tuesday of this week we had a visit from @auspost Australia Post to talk to us about the role of a postie and all of the behind scene hard work that they do to deliver our mail to us which we dont even realise takes place! The students really enjoyed exploring the postie bike and the van! Each time a visitor comes to K/PP, we show our appreciation of giving up their free time to see us by creating them a gift. For Sercul, we painted a turtle for our guest speaker, Natasha who said Can you please pass on my thank you to the kids for the fantastic paintings they sent me. I looked at each painting, and showed my workmate, and we both agreed that they were very artistic!! Such fabulous turtles! For our Australian Post visit, we are planning to write our own letters to our visitors and posting them, explaining our favourite part of their visit to us!

11.01.2022 FORTNIGHTLY THEMEAn Enquiring Mind - And without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever would draw near to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him. Heb 11v6 An enquiring mind has ‘a strong desire to find out and know things’.
