25.01.2022 We were very privileged to have the Ruby Tuesday Choir visit on June long weekend. This fabulous choir recorded the hymn we have played on tour for the last year. Those of you who have joined us on tour would know the tradition of miners to sing as they worked. It was quite emotional for the choir to hear the mens voices resonating throughout the mine. On Sunday night the choir treated the townsfolk and visitors to a recital in the memorial hall, which was received with enthusiastic applause. Later many wonderful conversations occurred over supper. Thank you Ruby Tuesday Choir, you are now part of Blinman history. Karen thank you for the photos.

22.01.2022 Not a copper mine, but very interesting to see the processes we talk about on the Blinman Heritage Mine tour on film. This was filmed in the 1940s so imagine the Blinman mine in the 1860s to 1907!

As she heads towards the Flinders Ranges, Lisa looks forward to capturing the spirit of adventure which characterised her Prussian ancestors who migrated to South Australia ...in the mid-1800s. What she doesnt anticipate is meeting locals who become her travelling companions back in time. She encounters Phil, an enthusiast who recaptures for Lisa, the romance of the steam age. She discovers an historic town with a rich film history and meets Susan, a modern-day pioneer who shines a light on a dark corner of history. In the Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park, archaeologist and traditional owner, Mick, guides Lisa to The Beginning, the cradle of Adnymathanha creation and a singular, geographical phenomenon. Further north, in the majestic surrounds of the Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary, Doug and Vicki launch Lisa into galaxies far, far away and initiate her love affair with the spectacularly coloured yellow-footed rock wallaby.
