03.01.2022 The heart of what we believe is as important, if not more so, than simply reciting doctrine. The substance of why we believe will always outweigh the deceptive value of "head knowledge". Revivalist and Apologist Leonard Ravenhill rightly stated "A man with an experience of God is never at the mercy of a man with an argument".... That is why the Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 1: 12... 12 For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day. Paul didn't say he had knowledge of "whom I have believed", he said "for I know in whom I have believed AND AM PERSUADED..." Paul spoke of relationship and revelation, not just intellectual accumulations.
