25.01.2022 ART CLUB // For the Senior activity we have Automatic Drawings which is a lot like playing a game of Mr Squiggle. Draw random squiggles all over your page with interesting turns and shapes and then spend some time staring at your squiggle. What can you see? If you turn it upside down/sideways can you see different things? Try to draw as many different pictures using the squiggle as your starting point.
25.01.2022 THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY // You can’t take words back. Once words are out there, they stay out there. Your kids continue to hear these negative words in their heads. Always choose positive ways to speak to your child when they have done something wrong. Ensure you’re words are helpful and not hurtful. Instead of tearing them down, make sure you are building them up and and ultimately you will find you are achieving the same end result. #innervoice #thoughtfulthursday #peggyomara #parentingtips #HCKnox

25.01.2022 LOVE READING // I have always loved reading. It is one of the greatest and simplest joys in my life. To be able to pass that enthusiasm for reading and literature to another generation is incredibly special, and hearing them read aloud and grow in confidence and ability is one of the greatest rewards a teacher could ask for. Keep learning, keep growing, and most of all...keep reading! - Miss Ullman year 2/3 Teacher #teacher #readbooks #lovetoread #HCKnox #education #ferntreegully

22.01.2022 RELIABILITY // Today I have been asked to talk about reliability. When I got my topic, the first thing I thought of was how reliable our Heavenly Father is. We can always rely and trust God to help us when we have trials or hard times in our lives. Just like it says in the scripture, He doesn’t change and He will always be there. It's also important that we are reliable and can have others trust us. When we have people around us who trust us and we can trust them, it is easier to find help when we need it or even when others need your help. I hope that we can all try our best to be there when others rely on us just like how we rely on our Heavenly Father. - Skyla, Year 6 #biblestudy #spiritualtheme #themeoftheweek #bibleverse

20.01.2022 2020 // Well I’m sure this can be said of educators everywhere this year, but we have never been more grateful for our dedicated staff than this year in 2020, as parents and teachers undertook the enormous task of remote learning where they grappled with learning through devices and the ever changing COVID restrictions and rules. We not only got thorough it but many of our students thrived and we have our amazing team of staff and their tireless hours of work to thank for that. We will never forget 2020 but we also look forward to moving on and welcoming a much simpler 2021. #goodbye2020 #education

20.01.2022 PATIENCE // Being impatient usually means that you are annoyed because things arent going your way. In other words, you are more concerned about you than someone else. Its in the Bible, Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered The Bible says that we should be joyful when we have problems knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. Its easy to ...lose your cool when you have no control over your circumstances. The important thing to remember is that God is in control. Knowing that God is in control takes the pressure off of you to always be in control. Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Notice that Paul says that God is the God of patience. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Some people act mean because they dont understand something, they are frustrated, or they simply dont know any better. Our job is to love them and try to help them. To do that, we must have faith and patience. Its in the Bible, We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. So, in saying all of this let us put on Christ and show patience one toward another. Mia - Year 5 #spiritualtheme #biblestudy #bible #patience See more

17.01.2022 THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY // It doesn’t matter whether your act of kindness is big or small the important thing is that you do an act of kindness, because an act of kindness is never a waste of time. Just something as simple as a friendly smile or a kind word can literally ‘make their day’. #thoughtfulthursday #thoughtfortheday #thursday

05.01.2022 PATIENCE // I know it can be hard right now with corona virus and being in lockdown! All we want to do is go back to school and see our friends, but we need to be patient. What helps me to be patient in these times when its really hard to see past the brick wall called lockdown is to remember that God has the bigger picture and all of this is to lead us down the road to the Kingdom that bit more. So lets encourage each other to trust in Gods timing and that he has an amazin...g plan ahead. Finally lets read from Romans 12 v 12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
