21.01.2022 Swales are amongst my favorite permaculture projects. Though they can be laborious, especially for a shovel and pick fellow like me, they show results quickly a...nd look amazing, texturing the landscape with both purpose and beauty. They are easy to explain: Everyone understands the concept of plants needing water. Swales are also perfect for those of us wanting to build no-dig garden beds, as digging the (swale) paths provides the necessary topsoil. See more

As parents it is humbling to see the amazing work t...hat Callum Champagne does on a daily basis, as citizens of this country it is more humbling to hear the words of Callum and Jess Moore of Green Connect when they talk about how much refugees have to offer us in terms of their experiences and skills and to see and hear from those refugees who have been able to experience Green Connect. 09.01.2022 Welcome to the Heritage Forest Community Garden - a journey for local community members to plan, design and grow great nutritious food, develop skills and share life. The site on City of Launceston land is operated by Youth Futures. Community Members are welcome to rent a raised garden bed or plot to grow produce.
