I am going to define exactly the type of retailers that I’m looking for. Bright engaging personality, with a love for customer service, and a great attitude to life. (Retailing should be a passion not a chore) ... Mature and responsible person available to work any rostered day between 6 am and 6 pm. ( Sorry this is not an after school/ week end or second job position) Must live locally ( Fleurieu Peninsula) as there are times you will be asked to fill a shift at short notice or come in early. Experience in retail food service and coffee making procedures ( don’t need to be a barista, but it would help) Applicant needs to be fit and healthy, quick on your feet, and be able to think for yourself, but be a good team player Good mental arithmetic skills would be an advantage. We are looking for two retailers to join our busy team of front of house staff. This is an ideal opportunity to secure a position in our family business. 23.01.2022 DRIVE THROUGH CLOSED at end of trade today Following a meeting this morning with Council we have been advised that there is an identified risk in allowing this to continue until such time as Permanent Approval is granted for this facility. Our application is still awaiting further submissions from us, in response the the 6 opponents to our application. To be able to have a say you needed to be a property owner or business owner within 70 metres of the bakery. I thank Goolwa ...Cellar Door and Goolwa Dental Surgery for their support. To our other neighbors.... well It has been told to council that there have allegedly been several near miss incidents associated with our drive through, an opinion that we disputed. There is nothing further that can be done to keep the drive through open. Hopefully we will be successful in our application when it goes before Fleurieu Regional Assessment Panel January or February 2021. 21.01.2022 The EH finally came out of the shed and made it into 5214

20.01.2022 We have just been advised by council that the drive through must close on Thursday 10th December. Council have now revoked our temporary approval Our application for permanent approval is still proceeding, but we have been told to close it until a decision has been made. This will not occur until January or potentially February. Essentially council have ensured that no drive through service will be available for the duration of the summer school holidays ... Whilst I respect Council have the right to enforce this I am feeling gutted for all the mobility impaired and low immune customers who will no longer be able to use this service Let’s hope that common sense will prevail when this goes to council for consideration and what is in the best interest of the general ratepayers will be addressed. Hopefully Alexandrina Council will remember who pays their staff wages and who votes them in. Unfortunately the council feels that COVID restrictions have been lifted, however QR check in and social distancing are still restricting our trade. I am not sure how we will be able to service our community if anotherCOVID outbreak occurs during the school holidays. Will commonsense prevail in this event?? See more

17.01.2022 Do wou know what Neenish Tarts are? We recently got an email from a lady in England whose Mum was turning 80, and these are her favorite sweet treat. Our bakers answered the call to create these traditional tarts, even though Mick and I were the only ones who’d heard of them. So proud of my bakers for making them and brightening a lovely ladies special day, with a gift from her family on the other side of the world.... 06.01.2022 We will be open until 11 pm tonight, drive through only from 5.30 pm to try and sell the bakery products we have in the coolroom. At this stage we are unsure if we will be allowed to continue baking bread during this lockdown. We are committed to providing our community with freshly baked bread and hope to do this unless advised otherwise However take away food and coffee is not permitted so please get to the bakery today and stock up on pies and pastries while you can. Austin told me he has an orange race car, and so I think his favorite color is probably orange.
