22.01.2022 Good News all! The Harrow Hermitage Hotel will at last open on the 26th Nov, afternoon, 3.pm all going well. Dinner available, bookings required, more on that shortly. It has been a hard road, and we still have many hurdles to overcome, but we all at the Hermitage will give it our best ...Restrictions apply obviously, I will post info re booking for dinners etc, as the hotel phone is not yet manned.... Will keep you all posted now that we have a definate date... Look forward to seeing you at the pub... Cheers

19.01.2022 Big thank you to all those who attended our opening week end at he Hermitage Hotel from Thurs 26th Nov, big smiles all round, great conversations thank you soooo much. News on our coming open times posted soon. We will gradually get back to regular trading, but for now we do what we can. BIG thank you to Natalie and her brother Graham, could not have opened without them!! Will keep you posted.

16.01.2022 The Harrow Hermitage Hotel owners and staff wish to convey the sad passing of William (Bill) Richard Devine on Wednesday 6th Jan 2021. Bill will be fondly remembered as a kind friend, a constant helper and companion. He served on many committees and groups in the town of Harrow embracing the spirit of community and contribution. Thank you to all of you that helped Bill over the years particularly in recent times if ill health. We would like to convey our sincerest condolence...s to his son Paul and family. I would like to share a verse from Adam Lindsay Gordon that Bill knew only too well.. This Saturday the 19th of December at 2pm, Pigeon Ponds Cricket Club and the Apsley Cricket Club will combine to play... an entertaining game of T/20 cricket at the famous Johnny Mullagh Cricket Oval, Harrow. This is a family day and we welcome everyone down from 2pm to spectate and catch up with everyone before they take off for a well earned Christmas break. This is also the Pigeon Ponds Social Club Christmas break up. 05.01.2022 Hello Harrow and surrounding community, all our treasured regular patrons and all those planning to visit...whilst we remain closed for now, I wait eagerly for the latest update from Vic gov on the much anticipated easing of restrictions for pubs and the like. We will make an announcement as to our planned re-opening day (Yay), based on the the feasability of the lifted restrictions. Sorry, until then I can not provide much more. But from here it is most likely to be from June 22nd....but please stay posted for further information. Thank you for your patience.....I hope we can crank her back up to a sustainable operation asap.......cheers

The Johnny Mullagh Discovery Centre has an amazing cricket collection and first class displays featuring stories of the difficult journey of local Aboriginal men to take their skills to Lords. There’s also a great collection of Bradman memorabilia, lots of interaction for kids and it’s free! Manned by volunteers, the centre is a credit to the lovely Harrow community. More runs were made here than in Adelaide b...ut it was a great day, beautiful weather and lots of laughs! 02.01.2022 Well that's another year done and dusty (:()...thank you to every one in Harrow who came along to our New Year's Eve do at the Hermitage....A most friendly, happy, enthusiastic crowd got together and thoroughly enjoyed the evening, many locals and some who had travelled far. To our Portland visitors once again thanks for joining in the festivities, great to have you all here for dinner and cheer, bty Happy Birthday Alicia! Also a big thank you to Emilee (Nats' daughter) for entertaining the crowd on guitar on the street....Just perfect!
