15.01.2022 BUDGET 2020 here are my highlights. I think we all expected the tax cuts, and happy to see they will be applied retrospectively. Good to see pensioners getting a bit more money in their pockets, and as an Accountant I expected something with the instant asset write off. What I didn’t see coming, though, was the spending on mental health. Subsidised sessions being DOUBLED from 10 to 20. What an amazing initiative from the Government. I hope this will help so many people ... One other thing that I didn’t fit on this highlight post is superannuation going with you now through your jobs! How good will that be?! Come chat down below what are your highlights.. what are you happy with.. what would you have liked to have seen?

12.01.2022 New diary is up! A woman with a six-figure superannuation balance is always an envy of mine http://hermoneydiary.com.au/hmd-9-34-mum-govt-work-6-figur/

12.01.2022 It’s probably not the first time you’ve heard this. But going through my emails this morning made me realise how often we are exposed to being sold to. Now, I’m not anti-spending (see my shoe post ) but I like to spend on my terms; when I want to and/or when I need something. Not when I get an email titled Urgent - avoid missing out (an actual email I received yesterday). If you unsubscribe from all these emails, you take back the power of your shopping, and can save money. You won’t be mindlessly spending or getting FOMO! How do you handle all those emails? A good strategy if you don’t want to unsubscribe is putting a rule in them to go into a different folder. Then you can look at your spending folder when YOU want to.

11.01.2022 Do you want to contribute your own money diary? Send a DM or email you can also tag someone who might be interested! Website is coming along nicely and we launch in just over two weeks

09.01.2022 Allowing yourself to spend money is akin to allowing yourself to eat junk food. If you don’t deny it, you have less chance of binging. Or in this case, overspending. Do you have a set amount you let yourself splurge?
