21.01.2022 The Queensland Government has recently announced the details of Stage Three easing of restrictions, coming into effect from midday today, 3 July. From Stage Three, businesses can have the maximum number of customers at any one time as the one person per four square metre limit allows, with smaller venues up to 200 square metres allowed one per person per two square metres (up to 50 people at a time). COVID Safe Industry Plans continue to apply. The following businesses and ar...eas may re-open with a COVID Safe Plan: Casinos, gaming and gambling venues (including electronic gaming machines) Non-therapeutic massage saunas and bathhouses Food courts Nightclubs Office-based workers can return to their place of work. Concert venues, theatres and auditoriums can also open from Stage Three, providing further good news and increased experiences on offer for travelers. Queensland's border will open to all states except Victoria from midday next Friday, 10 July. Any person (including Queensland residents) arriving to Queensland from Victoria from midday, Friday 3 July must undergo mandatory hotel quarantine at their own expense. The updated roadmap identifies that more events will be allowed from Stage Three. 12.01.2022 Queensland border update From 1:00am Tuesday 3 November 2020: Visitors and returned travelers from New South Wales... (excluding people who have been in the 32 Sydney Local Government Areas identified as hot-spots in the last 14 days) can enter Queensland with a valid Queensland Border Declaration Pass without having to complete mandatory quarantine. Other changes to border restrictions take effect from 3pm 30 October 2020 including; how long border passes are valid for, rules around unaccompanied minors, disaster management, requirements around some quarantine conditions, and more. Border closures to Victoria remain until community transmission is under control (including whether there have been any unlinked cases in the previous 28 days). 10.01.2022 200 EARLY VOTING CENTRES open from Monday 19 October through to Friday 30 October. Electoral Commissioner Pat Vidgen said. With sensible health measures implemented in polling booths, ECQ’s commitment to delivering a COVID-safe State general election. ECQ ask electors to plan the way they’ll have their say in the 2020 State general election.... This means thinking about bringing your Voter Information Card if they have one, staying 1.5 metres apart when voting, using hand sanitiser, and bringing a pen or pencil if they wish. DISTRIBUTION of HOW-TO-VOTE CARDS will be allowable for the election, in accordance with a Direction issued by the ECQ. However, campaign workers will need to comply with social distancing guidelines and hygiene standards and NOT RE-USE HOW-TO-VOTE CARDS. IT IS VOTER'S choice about whether they take how-to-vote cards being distributed by any campaign worker. Many early voting centres will be open from 9am to 6pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; from 9am to 9pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays; and 9am to 5pm on Saturday 24 October. Electors should check the ECQ website for the most up-to-date voting locations, days and times. 09.01.2022 CORRECTION: There is NO Carols in the Village 2020 Disregard the footer on the cover of the October newsletter as it was in error for anyone that received the October newsletter as we did from Hervey Bay Historical Museum. We've been advised that this event will not be proceeding this year due to COVID-19 and the information was in error. Sorry for any confusion. ... Get dropped off from a Kingfisher Bay Resort vehicle barge 2 km offshore from Scarness beach in the middle of the crystal clear waters of Hervey Bay. Swim back to shore with 200 other keen ocean swimming enthusiasts.
