16.01.2022 RIP to Sir Ken Robinson, an eloquent and indefatigable defender of the role of the arts and creativity in education. His TED talks made him world-famoushis pre...sentation called "Do schools kill creativity?" remains the most popular TED talk of all timeand he wrote widely, including major books on creativity in 2001 and 2015. Robinson was knighted in 2003 for his distinguished career in service to the arts. He was a staunch critic of standardized tests and compliance-based classrooms, and an unapologetic champion of every kind of creative endeavorfrom theater, to music, film, painting, dance, and everything in between. He died yesterday after a brief battle with cancer. His voice will be greatly missed.

12.01.2022 Are you are teen interested in getting together for a coffee and a chat about...Philosophy, creative writing, Sci Fi, Psychology, environmental awareness, NLP, ...the Arts...etc? We would like to start up a casual social group for teens that like to think, plan and create. Who'd rather talk about life, the universe and everything than commercial trends. Thank you all for your continuing support Press Release 21.09.2020 Call out to the Community from new school.... Hervey Bay Future School is an Accredited new school which has been looking for a new site. Founder Leeanne Weir is calling out to the community for assistance. I am a little surprised with such great community support that we still haven’t secured a premises Ms Weir said. I feel there has to be something out there, even if it were for just one high school class of 15 students. We would need to secure somewhere urgently to start in January 2021. Hervey Bay Future School has an educational model of creative, child-centred learning within small class sizes, unique for our region. Their focus is a whole-child approach to learning with real life application; one that is designed to prepare and educate students with a realistic, practical and genuinely engaging approach. We have been somewhat restricted by people’s idea of what we need. Usually community zoning includes educational and sometimes mixed use commercial does as well. Often these types of schools start out in a community / church hall, but it is helpful to think outside the square. Pinnacle Academic College secured a premises used for school holiday camps. Mawarra Independent School managed to find a rural rental with a hard stand for parking and rezoned it themselves. Goora Gan Steiner School operate out of a Surf Club. If unable to find a site soon, their plan is to secure investors to purchase a site to rent to them. We would be a secure, long-term tenant enabling returns higher than residential. There are quite a few small acreage properties suitable for 3 classrooms up for sale at the moment. Ms Weir said.
