23.01.2022 After 6 days the hessian was removed and what a strike we had the tifeagle is powering, today the surrounds were planted with tiftuff and no doubt we will have the same result. I would like to thank all the volunteers who have contributed to this project your time and effort is much appreciated. Peter Fraser

20.01.2022 Nice start to the day

20.01.2022 5th Fairway Sub-Surface Drainage. Beginning Tuesday Dec 1st work on the final stage of the 5th fairway sub-surface drainage will begin. Initially works will be to prepare and install the main drainage pipeline and swale drain. This will preserve the fairway in its current condition for the last of our major events (Saturday Men’s and Women’s Medal of Medals.5th hole will be in play on the weekend). Work on the lateral lines is expected to begin the following week. The weath...er bureau continues to predict wet weather for this coming wet season. With this in mind completing this project before the rain arrives makes sense. The 5th hole will be closed and out of play Tuesday Friday inclusive. Proceed to the 6th Tee after completing the 4th Hole. Players are to score a nett par for the 5th hole to enable scores to be handicapped. (ie: 2 stableford points). During future works requiring hole closures we will be able to use 4A & 4B and play 18 holes of golf. Your patience is appreciated during this important upgrade. HBGC Management Committee 30/11/2020

16.01.2022 Good Afternoon Members. Please Note that as of tomorrow 7/12/20, the course indexes for Blue, Black and White Tees will be evenly distributed front and Back. If you’re off a Handicap of 6 you will get 3 on the front and 3 on the Back. Match Committee has determined this to be fairer for all players so we decided to move on this change. Thank you... Chris Mizzi HBGC Captain See more

10.01.2022 4A green has been stolonised with tifeagle, the water will be coming on every hour throughout the day. Please keep away from this area as it will be very wet and the stolons will be fragile. Thank you

10.01.2022 Members, You will notice a change in colour on the greens this is because we verti cut them at -2mm. This process is required every month to reduce thatch and create a better putting surface, it also reduces the chance of diseases forming and allows for better water infiltration. We will be doing it again on Monday then we will be following it up with a granular fertiliser and gypsum which will give us the recovery and colour back. Thank you Peter Fraser (CSTM)
