25.01.2022 Bravehearts is fighting for its survival to continue fighting against child sexual assault and exploitation. We are writing to ask you for help. To help the children trapped at home with their perpetrators and those who have escaped. The strongest voice for kids in Australia is in dire jeopardy of closing. Due to the recent bush fires and now global pandemic, Bravehearts has lost 34% of its funding due to a massive drop in donations and is set to lose a further 21% in fee-fo...r-service streams. This has resulted in a situation where, without help, the next 3 months could lead to Bravehearts being forced to shut our unfunded Ditto education program, training, research, crisis help and support lines, advocacy and advice lines to desperate children and families. We desperately need your help. It is donations from the public that give us our independent voice, the ability to speak out without fear or favour, in the best interests of the child every time, without compromise. That makes us unique in Australia. Bravehearts has helped hundreds of thousands of children across our Nation since we began 23 years ago. We were the first voice on this topic, taking the issue of child sexual assault out of shadows and into the light - and still we remain the nation’s leading child protection advocate. We have changed the way this nation responds to child sexual assault and exploitation and we have done more to protect children from this crime through campaigning, media, counselling, advocacy, education and training than anyone else. That voice is now in jeopardy. We have always relied heavily on community, corporate and business donations and grants. If ever there was a time to help Bravehearts and the children we protect it is now! Please make your legacy the saviour of Australia’s voice for children who are harmed. We simply have to survive into the future so we can continue in our life-saving work! Please help us with as little or as much as you can. 25.01.2022 If you are the non-offending parent of a child who has experienced sexual abuse you are invited to participate in an online questionnaire to help expand researc...h in the area of complex post-traumatic stress disorder. The aim of this research is to improve understanding of the factors that increase the risk of non-offending parents of children who have experienced sexual abuse developing PTSD and Complex PTSD. You will be asked to complete a short online questionnaire that will take 30-45 minutes to complete. This current study will help further understanding of Complex PTSD and enhance the development of targeted interventions for complex trauma.

22.01.2022 Please consider giving a free Christmas gift to Australia's children. Your name and your voice. Almost every day when I am out and about I am so grateful to the many people who stop me to encourage me to 'keep up the good work' etc. And I am trying but I could use some help. We need an army of people registered as supporters to bolster our ability to persuade governments on policy and legislation, sentencing and education. I am not asking you for money or formal membership... - I am not asking you to attend a rally, just that you add your name and be counted as an Australian who supports our work. When I am asked how many supporters we have I need to be able to say at least 1 million. It can be done. In 1996 three hundred thousand people attended a rally in a city square in Belgium to lend their support to parents who were demanding more government action on stopping child sexual predators. I am hoping Australians will do the same - not by rallying but by registering to join my army. Please share this far and wide. I can't do this alone - our kids need an army of parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters, teachers and nurses, doctors and unionists, bankers and brokers. Do it now. 21.01.2022 So according to this decision unless an offender admits the crime, someone sees it or it is captured on video then there will always be doubt...one persons word against another. If this is the new norm then we will never get a conviction again without those types of unequivocal proof. This decision is a disaster in protecting children against sexual predators in Australia.

19.01.2022 George Pell is free. What a joke! What this proves is that if you have power and influence you can defeat justice. I always thought that was not the case but clearly i was wrong. This proves that the voices of the rich and powerful overwelm those of victims, jurors and the community...US. What a bloody disgrace. Our legal system does not support victims...first Volkers now Pell. So the message from the highest court in the land to all victims everywhere is to keep your mouth shut. My heart is with victims everywhere. Our system has to change and now.

I hope 2020 brings you health, happiness and safety. 2020 will see us continue the battle to protect our kids and become the safest place in the world to raise a child. We must never give up. 04.01.2022 I get we need to watch the budget but surely human life is more important. Close the borders, stop mass gatherings and lets survive this - our aged, weak and vulnerable need to be safe too - not just those with private health. We need our gov and banks and businesses to work together to get thru this as intact as possible.
04.01.2022 Popes prayer "Let us pray together today for all those persons who suffer due to an unjust sentence because someone had it in for them". This is just insulting and unchristian. How dare the Pope take a swipe at these victims calling them liars. No one deemed Pell innocent but like most sexual assault matters, they found insufficient evidence to convict. ... No one called these victims liars... no one would dare. Except the Pope of course. Unforgiveable!
