11.01.2022 Meet DD (Denis Delaney) Store Manager I attended Mortlake High School & was a big sports nut & fitness fanatic in the early years. I played 400 + games of footy & coached for 5 years. I have completed 10 Marathons & lots of half marathons. I have also raced Puffing Billy in the Dandenong’s a couple of times.... I now concentrate on Lawn Bowls, I am an Accredited Coach & National Umpire. I have played in Premier League for 10 years. Just ask Paul at Ballarat how good I am!! I have been married to Brenda since 1979, we have 3 children and 4 Grandsons. I worked Bonlac Dairy Company for 21 years - 5yrs in Cheese Production in various roles and the next 16 years in Managing a Bonlac Rural Store very similar in what I am doing right now. We moved to Geelong in 2001 and I worked for Geelong Farm Supplies for 12 years and then I jumped on board with Hewitt and Whitty about 6 years ago. We are now returning to live in Cobden with the family & I am very excited about the challenge of our new store in Cobden. Looking forward to many good times ahead!

10.01.2022 Shaun Mahony Pasture Agronomist I attended Mercy Regional College, Camperdown, having grown up in Cobden where I played junior footy. After school I completed a Bachelor of Agricultural Science graduating with Honours from La Trobe University, Bundoora.... My studies led me to an opportunity with Stephen Pasture Seeds (SPS) in Ballarat as a Graduate Agronomist. After learning the ropes I took on the responsibility of managing the Central and Southern Victoria region for SPS servicing a number of rural stores and assisting with their clients’ needs in pasture agronomy. A highlight of working with SPS would be the people I worked alongside and those that I met along the way. After 7 years with SPS, an opportunity presented with Hewitt and Whitty to join their team to expand my knowledge in pasture agronomy and animal production. Living and working in Ballarat led me to meet my wife Sara and we are in the process of returning to the Cobden area. I am looking forward to getting out and assisting farmers, working with and learning from the experienced experts- Dee Dee and Benny

10.01.2022 Benny Nolan Merchandise Sales & Deliveries I went Catholic Regional College (CRC) in Camperdown. In 1993 I commenced work at Benallack’s Sportspower. I Worked there for 10 years in retail & some small engine servicing. From then I experienced various casual positions with a highlight working for Coalman Rail on their major projects- tram and rail construction sites. ... I was approached by Ross Hughes (previous owner of Country Road Farm Supplies) to join the local rural supplies shop in a roll of merchandise & on farm deliveries. I really enjoy the relationships with clients & the diversity that it offers with vast range of products. I am a jack of all trades & master of none! I have played footy for Camperdown Magpies 1990 - 2000 & I am proud to say that I have 2 junior back to back flags in 92 and 93, & 2 reserve flags in 95 & 99. I played 2 seasons with Simpson in 01 & 02 before returning to Camperdown in 03 & 04. 05 was a gap year for my footy before I returned in 06 for my final year of footy at Lismore- Derrinallum. I have also enjoyed basketball & cricket in Camperdown for many years, before giving up due to white line fever! I reside at Weerite have 4 kids- Jack, Ava, Isla & Meg. Outside of work I’m a bit of petrol head travelling around the Speedway circuit with a few mates & the kids. I keep in tune with the farming happenings by helping a few mates on weekends with milkings & harvest etc. Looking forward to the new venture of the Hewitt & Whitty Cobden store becoming a success.
