Over the next little while youll watch things take shape as we become a 1 stop shop for advertising, marketing and promotion for businesses. Ill be slowing down over the next 2 weeks to enjoy some school holiday time with my son. Ill also be picking up my new computer and camera which means youll see some im...ages scroll across your screen from time to time. Photography has been a bit of a hidden hobby, but now its time to step it up a notch and look at how we can incorporate it into a service we already offer. 22.01.2022 ** Parker Built ** A logo design completed for a young man spreading his wings and dipping his very capable toes into the world of rural contracting and fabrication. Parker has a trade but shares a passion with that and rural work, so he is starting a business based in Theodore QLD offering both services.... I battled with this design. I was in 2 head spaces. Fabrication to me resembles "Structured, strong, bold". Yet, because the business is also rural services ( fencing, mustering, etc) it needed to have the sense of "freedom and flexibility". Mashing 2 worlds together in 1 design can be extremely complicated. Poor Parker, he was a patient man! We got there in the end. Parker Brauer

This team have a bit going on! Thoroughbreds, Campdraft Horses, Cattle, Hay and Lab dogs! A LOT to try and incorporate into the 1 design.. I think we did it well!!

16.01.2022 **Bullenbong Boutique Horses & Dogs** Meagan and I have been working on this design for a couple of weeks to tie a new logo in with some fancy new trucker caps. It was quite the process. We had to get the design right in order to proceed with the design of the caps. ... Dealing with these colour tones, things can get really had. If you're 1 or 2 shades out, it throws the whole thing. I've said it before, and I will say it again. Colours play a HUGE role in a design. We will flash Meagans caps once she has them in her hot little hand! Being Brahman beef, we incorporated a brahman hump into a wave. Nothing too complex. We had a fairly good vision for this design right from word go. ... It was an honour to do this for Leah and Ray. 13.01.2022 ** CENTRAL PARK HELICOPTERS ** If Zane, Kerrie and I lived closer, we'd be "cheersing" to the completion of this beauty. This design has been in the making since February. The original direction Zane wanted to take was a bit too complicated and everything was just not feeling right. So, after fighting with it for weeks we put it to rest and picked it back up recently. ... Sometimes clients come to me with a very set idea, and then often once the idea is in front of them, it's not what they visioned. Then we've got to try and un see what they've seen and redirect. It's hard, it can been really hard. Now we have a completed design all parties are content with. Looking forward to seeing how they put this design to use!

What more can we say! Its a lovely and simple design. Each beast shape is different. Every single breeder/producer has a different eye for detail. No matter the breed. So, we always ask the client to provide the image of a beast of their choice. Majority are their own cattle.

11.01.2022 WORD OF WARNING and ADVICE Ive somehow become the go to person for social media advice. Business or personal page. Over the 10 years of navigating a business profile, Ive learned first hand what works and what doesnt. However this week was a first and let this be a warning to you all. Monday morning I was active on my personal account, 10 minutes later I needed to look at something and opened the app back up to find I was logged out and my photo had disappeared off... my log on button. It was clear I had been HACKED. Attempting to log in, my password had been changed. So, after changing my password and confirming my identity all within moments, my account had been COMPLETELY DISABLED by Facebook. Whats this mean? Facebook has removed my account and I can no longer access it or my content. I tried to dispute it but I was advised the decision cannot be reversed. Just like that Facebook holds the power. There is no way you can contact Facebook or dispute the decision. Thats it. Done. Luckily enough I had a second profile I used for political campaigns when I was doing them, so thankfully I didnt lose my business page or access to it. If I didnt have this second account I would have! To then top it off, Ive completely lost access to my Instagram account. 10 years of content and over 800 followers gone just like that. Why? Because my Instagram and Facebook were linked and Facebook owns Instagram. LESSON: 1 : Unlink your Instagram and Facebook. How do you know its linked? You will find this in your Facebook or Instagram settings. If youve been asked to find friends in your Facebook contacts.. Thats linking your account. 2 : ALWAYS... ALWAYS.. I repeat, ALWAYS have TWO admins assigned to your business pages. If you lose access as admin, and there are no other page roles assigned, your business page then becomes limbo and cannot be re accessed. ONLY an admin can reassign an admin. So, always have TWO admins assigned to your page. 3 : Make sure you save valuable content elsewhere. Perhaps look at loading content to your website and then sharing it as a Facebook feed... 4 : Strong passwords and two step authentication process, look into it!!

09.01.2022 Janita Farming Some designs take a matter of hours to complete and some take a matter of hours over a matter of days. Sometimes things just don't line up. We seem to clash with the "want" and what can actually "work". We are having a run of these at the moment. Often it's a matter of headspace too. My headspace can reflect through my work. ... This was one of those times... trying to make the "want" work with "what can" or "what does". I never duplicate the same design twice and always try and make each design as unique as the business it's representing. Sometimes we hit a creative block and fluff about until we break that barrier. Finally we can present a completed design to Janita Farming. Originally Anita was thinking blues and black tones with hay bales. We compromised on the colours to make it flow and marry a little better. Once we cracked the colours, we managed to crack the design. A last minute addition of a cow to include that side of their business. I ruled out the opportunity of also adding a horse. Sorry Anita ;-). Sometimes too many things can just complicate the design and the overall effect can be lost.

08.01.2022 SANS- SOUCI. Australian Whites. A design that was completed for Joe Pederick & Harriet Pederick for their business. Travelling down the "organic" path Joe wanted something to reflect fresh and "green" with an Australian feel. ... Originally I went down a very simple design path but the sheep just want working in well and Sans-Souci absolutely needed to feel "free". Green and Gold were the requested colour tones, but I threw a cat amongst the pigeons and created a great debate by throwing some other colours into the mix for consideration. I always like to make sure we cover all bases and look at various angles with the design. Just so the client can walk away feeling satisfied and no sense of "what if". Wishing Joe and Harriet all the best, and I thank them for the opportunity to create this for them!

When I had a chat with Chloe about her new logo, she wanted to keep the general concept of her old one but polish it up and add some barbed wire. So, I introduce to you the new look Glamour in the Dust !

Working closely with her to breath life into her idea we completed her logo. There was just 1 thing I kept from her along the way.... ... A kind hearted soul that considered Steph as her very dear friend contacted me and asked if I could invoice her instead of Steph as she wanted to gift the logo to her to help kick start her business venture. It was probably the best of the whole process! Steph wanted to stick with a simple black design, but unfortunately with all the lines amongst this design, it needed to be broken and another colour added. It just looked a bit too busy otherwise. Wishing Steph the very best with her new business!

The colours, clarity and the top quality content displayed are all a big tick for us. ... I have lost count how many times I have been contacted by presidents, secretaries or general members that have recently joined a committee and are looking to breath new life into things with a new logo. The past one may be old and outdated. Sometimes the committee no longer have the adequate formats and need to look at some options. This design has been recently completed for the team on... the Moura Bronze Boots Campdraft. Using an image purchased from Sue Waldron, we manipulated it a little to try and give it a generic feel. It's still not too hard to work out who it is ;-).
