12.01.2022 The hubby and I are rather enjoying trying out @hellofreshau lately. This was a Moroccan chickpea stew we had last week - delicious! I’ve certainly found I’ve been cooking more (usual go-to is frozen veggies and some sort of protein, so probably getting better nutrition too!), and less food waste from leftovers or groceries we buy and never use. . It’s a timely reminder as today is the United Nations International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste. Did you know that in Australia we waste around 7.3 million tonnes of food? That’s about 300kg of food per person. Yet some people are struggling to get enough food to feed their families. 09.01.2022 Gave the class the choice of upper or lower body for the last track... it was a 50/50 split so @m_doors exercised her veto vote and we went with upper body ... and she was soon apologising profusely . . Seriously though, this track is a killer for your arms and shoulders because it works on the principle of time under tension - slow and controlled simple movements that force you to contract the muscle for longer. Give it a go! You’ll thank me later, I promise. . .... 06.01.2022 A few weeks ago my nieces found out that I was being made redundant. Apparently they were sad for me at first, before Miss 12 said that I already have a full-time job lined up as a PANK Love being an Aunty - you get to be the fun one! I also love hearing all their stories - there’s always something to tell me about! Looking forward to a time when we can get all the nieces and nephews together in one place.

01.01.2022 Shoulda, coulda, woulda ... yeah well you didn’t. I hate the words ‘should have’ - they keep you in the past and stop you moving forward. Learn from the mistakes and past experiences for sure, but if you keep saying ‘I should have’ you’ll never put those lessons into practice. . Like, I should have started exercising sooner or I should have done that piece of work differently. - so what? Start now! Do it differently next time! You can’t change the past so dwelling on it will do you no good. Onwards, ever onwards friends.
