09.01.2022 ** THE GIFT OF GIVING ** You’ve spoken and we’ve most certainly listened. We’ve received numerous messages and had meaningful conversations regarding Fireworks and the newly advertised Laser show.... The Heywood Wood Wine and Roses Committee have decided to pay it forward on behalf of the committee and community. In lieu of Fireworks/Laser Show we will now make a huge amount of donations in the Corryong area. These men, women and precious children have suffered through drought, financial hardship and the recent bush fire that has caused unimaginable destruction. It is our firm belief that these individuals would greatly benefit beyond our assistance. Let’s show them the Heywood community is a generous, heartfelt and supportive one. Our contributions will be personally delivered to a significant amount of recipients THIS SATURDAY 8th Feb with the help of over 120 trucks headed to those in need. The hype with this journey is inspiring! In true Aussie spirit we proudly stand united in saying these families need our donations more than we need Fireworks or a Laser Show to conclude our evening! 05.01.2022 ** COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT ** - THIEF - To the disgraceful human who has deliberately prised a Legends plaque off our wall....... Just know that we are currently door knocking and reviewing surveillance camera’s so that you will be prosecuted with every inch of the law! These drivers have worked tirelessly and made many a sacrifice so that you can have every element you need to live your life. They have stood at that wall with pride as their name was unveiled. Remember....everything comes off a truck. While you’ve been there to watch your loved ones blow out Birthday candles, these drivers have missed many a special birthday occasion just so our community has everything it needs!!!! Just so YOU have everything YOU need!!!! To avoid prosecution I suggest you get the plaque and return it immediately to the wall,no questions asked or it will be taken further! This is the second occasion a Legends name has been removed purposely meaning the person or persons responsible didn’t have to travel far at all. This was deliberately done and shows a true lack of respect for our community. If you know who this was please inbox the Legends page! Please share!
