24.01.2022 This week we are celebrating the launch of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program for Secondary Years. HDSC is one of 13 pilot schools across Victoria and NSW. Students and staff have worked hard in the limited time they have been here this year and things are definitely taking shape. This week we have celebrated making pizzas with the produce grown so far. We look forward to 2021 not just integrating the kitchen garden into our curriculum but being able to share it w...ith the wider community. Pacific Hydro funding for the HDSC Community garden was a fabulous support and although it has been tough trying to work during COVID restrictions, it is all coming together. Again we look forward to setting up ties with the entire Heywood community in 2021. Any queries, questions or support please contact Gregg Housden or Elly Colley at HDSC. See more

11.01.2022 Don’t forget to wear your mask! Please try to bring reusable masks (as long as they are clean). While we do have disposable ones here, let’s do our bit for the environment and reuse as much as we can. It is an expectation that masks are worn at all times unless eating or drinking. So please wear them, and wear them properly!

06.01.2022 Mask wearing: All students and staff must ensure they are wearing masks when at school, at all times, unless eating or drinking. These masks must be worn correctly - covering the mouth and nose (not hanging down on just the chin).... This is a government requirement and is to protect everyone. Also, please don’t forget to sanitise hands as you walk in and out of rooms and the school buildings. We are in this together, so let’s support each other!
