25.01.2022 What a first week back into it. Straight into a 1hdt build with a fresh rebuild, turbo and pump upgrade and another 3L Reco engine for exchange or outright. And a bunch of transfer harnesses out the door to there new homes.

24.01.2022 Last couple of weeks have been busy and trying to catch up on work so haven’t been posting as much as we like but we’re getting there, with 2x 1hdt engine builds with new pumps and injectors for both and the 1hdft we fitted before Xmas has come back to get a check up and new pump and injector to pull some more power, more Hilux engine builds and many more harnesses being sent out. 1hdt no.1 - almost completely standard 645k motor, just in for a fresh rebuild and to modify th...e intake as the plumbing he was using was doing more harm then good so welded a new entry point on the manifold and all fixed. Back to the owner to keep enjoying his camping trips 1hdt no.2 - Now we won’t go into this one just yet as there has been so much work done it deserves its own post. 1hdft - this is in a tidy 80 series that we’ve been building for a customer everything from suspension to the engine and performance upgrades we’ve done to this rig and the now we now know the motor is solid and healthy it’s time for power we currently still waiting for the pump to come back but we already given it a full intake clean as the old egr system has this blocked really bad. Clean and freshen up on the cooling system with a new fan hub with extra oil and new radiator Stroud. Keen to see how it goes next week

24.01.2022 Another 3l getting some much needed love today. Unfortunately with the high number of unserviceable cranks coming in the return engines and having to be replaced with brand new Toyota cranks the cost of our exchange engines is getting adjusted, the exchange engines are now $4500 with the usual basic accessories ( water pump, thermostat, glow plugs, timing belt kit, new timing idler bolt, etc ) and further upgrades are also available such as turbo kits, fuel pump and injectors upgrades.

21.01.2022 R151 gear box in for a rebuild and minimum standard for all our rebuilds we upgrade 5th gear to a fully splined gear to help beaf up the strength when towing or the addition of bigger tyres. We have already assembled the main shaft with all new bearings and sycnos. Just waiting for some things to come back from the machine shop to help tighten up the shift rails and this one will get put together and off to its new owner.

21.01.2022 Another n60 sas out the door this week using a modified TM Fab coil kit. This SR5 1KZ Hilux came in with heaps of worn out parts in the ifs suspension and rather then replace everything the customer opted for a coil swap. The front end is completely rebuilt and ready to go and is much stronger then the previous ifs, also moving the front diff forwards which helps clear the 33’s in the guards. There are future plans to coil the rear down the track and do a full brake upgr...ade. If you’re needing anything for your 4x4 don’t hesitate to send us a message.

15.01.2022 Today’s latest return exchange engine. This engine was built by another shop and with only just under 800kms on it This engine had a major engine failure dropping a valve and destroying itself. The shop refused the poor bloke any warranty or help. We will not mention any names but please be careful on who you use to build your engine. We built the customer a new engine with full warranty and support, we are more then happy to help anyone with there problems and try to get t...hem but on the trackS. We’ll throw some photos in the comments as we can’t attach videos and photos together

15.01.2022 Bit of an update for everyone on what’s been happening here at HFM, last week we had a new np300 in for a suspension lift, bodylift, ss intake, exhaust and a polish with a wax to top it off to help keep this big beauty clean. This week we stripped down our test/work Hilux 5L engine to find that all 4 pistons have cracks after 40,000klm of copping 60psi of boost we are in the process of rebuilding it and testing a different brand of pistons, once it’s finished and back in the vehicle we’ll do some more tuning and go put some klms on it. We test the products we use in the most extreme conditions to make sure we deliver the best parts we can and we know they work. 13.01.2022 Hey guys we are currently looking for a mechanic to join our team. Must be able to work unsupervised, take pride in your work and a keen interest to learn. Must have an good understanding around 4x4’s. Must have own tools. Bonus points if you know your way around engines, gearbox’s, diffs, fabricating, welding, etc. ... 13.01.2022 We had a clean np300 come in last week to have a shoreline bullbar fitted up that the customer had colour coded to match and a nice light bar to go with, which came up a treat and changed the hole look of the car as well as we readjusted the front end back to its lifted ride height to compensate for the extra weight on the front compared to the old plastic bumper.

11.01.2022 Been a couple big weeks lately as everyone rushes to get there rigs ready for the Xmas break. Here’s a couple rigs that we managed to get some photos of, With an old 2h in for a head gasket, new injectors and a complete custom turbo kit and exhaust. A clean np300 In for a Johnny Tig intercooler upgrade and a custom airbox to turbo pipe. And one we are currently trying to finish for a customer so he can go away for Xmas is a 1hdft conversion in an 80 series after the last engine blew up. Hope everyone is off camping and wheeling this weekend and try not to break to much .

11.01.2022 Must of been a weekend of mods for a few people, a few 2.1m and 3.6m R series harness out the door this morning.

10.01.2022 Nice way to finish off a Saturday with a couple reco steering boxes. Currently have 75/80 series and ifs hilux steering boxes in stock and ready for exchange. Prices are $450 posted for all steering boxes.

09.01.2022 Here’s a job we did over the weekend/start of the week for a customer using n80 Hilux springs that were reset to suit his setup and wow what a difference in ride quality over the old 2 efs springs . Also the flex is amazing but very limited atm as he only has 0 offset rims so they rub the chassis pretty hard, with heaps left in the setup it’d be nice to see what they could actually do with the correct rims.

09.01.2022 We had a bloke bring us his NP300 in this week to make his new 35’s fit with minimal lift and minimal cutting and we are stoked to say there was ZERO cutting to the body and zero rubbing anywhere besides a very slight touch to the chassis on full lock. This nav runs only a 2 lift and clears on compression. The owner said it was fine to trim the front bump as he will be fitting a bullbar in the future. You don’t need big lifts to fit tyres.

08.01.2022 3 more R series transfers harnesses out the door and 2 mechanical pump conversion looms off to new homes as well, these harness allow you to do a mechanical pump swap without having to worry about wiring or cutting the factory plugs off your cars harness.

06.01.2022 Another week done and dusted with a few R series conversion harness off to new homes as well as one of our rear disk brake conversions for hilux’s. And a common 80 series cracked steering box and panhard mount luckily the damage was only minor so with a repairs and a bracing kit fitted the 80 was back on the road ready for the weekend.

05.01.2022 We’ve been open for 5 days and we have the first blown 5l engine in for the year. This engine had number 3 big end bearing failure, but unsure what’s caused it until we tear the engine down for an inspection. The customer is going to get one of our fresh fully rebuilt exchange engines to get him back on the road an on the tracks. Hope everyone’s had a better start to the year that this pour bloke.

05.01.2022 Good looking 105 series leaving the shop today with a 3 lift fitted compared to the super sagged standard springs it drove in on, just needs some new wheels so it doesn’t look like it skipped leg day . And a new exhaust for a zd30 d22 navara that received one of our exhaust and remap packages she really gets up and goes compared to standard

05.01.2022 Exchange long block 3L ( 2.8L ) hilux engine ready to go, options for fuel system, manifolds, sumps and flywheels etc, are available to go with the engines as well. Prices for long block with accessories like you see here are $4000 plus freight. We also soon will have rebuilt exchange 1kz engines ready to go and currently have a mint 1 owner 1kz from a prado with 200,000klm ready to go. 04.01.2022 Been crazy busy here at HFM lately with so much happening from coil conversions, gearbox rebuilds, engine rebuilds, and turbo builds but will try and update everyone all over the next few days on everything we’ve done with a little bit more detail. We currently have an N60 in for a coil front that’s receiving a highly modified Tm Fab coil kit and at a later date we will coil the rear as well.

04.01.2022 Hey guys we’re having a massive shed clean out and getting rid of heaps of Hilux parts and a couple land cruiser parts. We don’t have photos of everything so send us a message on what your chasing, we have everything from transfer cases, injector lines, swivel hubs and 2 ln106 radiators haha for the land cruiser stuff we have 2x 4.1 rear arb air locker centres and a complete rear diff. 01.01.2022 Nice little job today of repairing a landcruiser front diff from a common problem of tearing the radius arm mount off from running superpro bushes ( or any hard bush that won’t flex ), this one was found just in time before a whole new bracket was needed. Thanks to Rampt Customs for there bracing/repair plate kit. Also fitted some new offset rubber bushes to help with movement.
