24.01.2022 **IS YOUR HOME COVID SAFE?** As restrictions ease across Victoria and we find ourselves enjoying more activities and social interactions, we must remember to re...main aware of the potential spread of Coronavirus. Check out the DHHS COVIDSafe Home Plan at https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au//Are%20you%20and%20your%20home for useful tips and information on how to help keep your family and friends safe when at home. And remember to always: Practise good hygiene and regularly and thoroughly wash your hands If you’re out, maintain physical distancing, keeping at least 1.5 metres away from others. Wear a face covering when you leave home (or if you have people from outside your household in your home eg tradespeople) If you feel unwell, get tested and return home immediately Cough and sneeze into a tissue or your elbow. Outdoor activities are safer for everyone. By reading and filling in the COVIDSafe Home Plan, you can help keep you, your family and friends safe and well. 09.01.2022 Good afternoon Southern Grampians Shire. Premier Daniel Andrews has this afternoon announced a significant tightening of restrictions for Victoria. From 6pm to...night, Victoria will enter a State of Disaster. This will give police additional powers to make sure people are complying with public health directions. Regional Victoria, from 11:59pm on Wednesday, will return to Stage 3 Stay at Home restrictions. That means there’ll again only be four reasons to be out: 1 Shopping for food and essential items. 2 Care and care giving. 3 Daily exercise. 4 Work and study if you can’t do it from home. Otherwise, you need to stay home. Our businesses will also return to Stage 3 restrictions. That means restaurants and cafes can only offer delivery and takeaway. Beauty and personal services will need to close. Entertainment and cultural venues will need to close. Community sport will need to stop. Our school students will return to remote and flexible learning, across all year levels. There will be more announcements from the Victorian Government in the next 24 hours about working arrangements. Council will also communicate changes to services as quickly as possible.
