In PBS4L students worked together to learn how important it is to make sure we are ready to learn daily by being prepared or not giving up too easily. 02.01.2022 This term in Religious Education Year 5 has been working towards the driving question: How can I use my gifts to flourish and enhance the lives of others? To best answer this question Mr Baker challenged Year Five students to use their gifts to run the Christmas appeal for 2020 at Holy Family. Motivated by this challenge we set out as a class to discover what gifts are present within our classroom under the categories of gifts that use our head, heart and hands. Following th...is we unpacked the Scripture passage John 14:15-31: ‘The Promise of The Holy Spirit’. This Scripture covers the events of Jesus informing the disciples of the Holy Spirit which will be coming to them as a gift from The Father. Whilst unpacking this Scripture passage it allowed us as a class to discuss the Holy Trinity (The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit). With the knowledge of our gifts and using what John 14:15-31 has taught us, we are looking forward to running the Christmas appeal by organising and collecting items for the House of Welcome. Please stay tuned for our social media campaign (Facebook & Skoolbag) and notes that will be going home regarding items to be collected across various grades.
