25.01.2022 Changes to the low and middle income tax offset announced in Budget 201920 are now law. The amount of offset you may be entitled to, and the amount of any refund, will differ for everyone depending on individual circumstances such as income level and how much tax you paid throughout the year. Well automatically take into account any offset youre entitled to in your tax return, even if youve already lodged. You wont need to contact us. 25.01.2022 The governments promised increase to low income offset will be the first item on the agenda as soon as parliament sits again in the first week of July. Once passed the ATO can implement. If you can possibly wait to lodge your return till after the second week of July and this bill is passed, you will get the offset ( thresholds apply)
