12.01.2022 19 year old Rosa didn't consider herself 'Homeless', read on to hear how The Salvos helped. "For the last five years I’ve had a violent relationship with my mother, and after two or so years of living with her I’d had enough. She would yell and scream at me, she was an alcoholic and a drug addict. I decided to leave that situation one night and I moved in with my ex partner. From there things just went downhill. He would verbally and physically abuse me too. When I broke up ...with him last year shortly after I had my youngest daughter, things got really bad. I traveled between relatives, motels and grotty caravan parks until I landed at the Salvos.I went to Salvo Care and explained my situation and they put me in a hotel and eventually they put me up in a house. I’m so thankful to Salvo Care because without them I wouldn’t be where I am now if I didn’t have that help. I wouldn’t have been able to get any furniture without them. This year it’s been a good start. I’m hopeful it’ll be a good year, hopefully the first for a long time."
