24.01.2022 As part of Hidden Treasures, we feel fortunate to host talented musicians who are not only amazing entertainers, but give back to the industry by supporting aspiring artists. "Together with my wife Helen and daughters Giorgia and Greta, we run a foundation The Farm Margaret River where we have converted old sheds on our farm in Margaret River into artists’ studios. There we host artists, musicians, writers and creatives." Ahead of his performance with the Dukes Downtown next week at PS Art Space, make yourself familiar with the secret life of Darryl Mack.

24.01.2022 Prita Music's unique sound of ‘hip-soul-folk’ combines her love of the three genres with the use of a live loop pedal to layer funky urban harmonies, acoustic finger-picking guitar and beat boxing. Prita is immersed in the music scene as a full time singer-songwriter, having played at festival and music festivals around Europe & Australia. "It's so exceptional we get to play music again to real people on stages when half the world are still in lockdown... 21.01.2022 Hey Hidden Treasures fans, just a warning from the festival team here. There are many ticket scammers active at the moment across Facebook and Instagram. So be aware, it’s not always the great deal it looks like and you are taking a risk in purchasing tickets through private sellers.... The event is now SOLD OUT and COVID-19 has unfortunately limited our capacity. Remember, there are other gigs on and we’ll be back!

A very special Hidden Treasure will be opening tomorrow night at PS Art Space from 8pm None other than 2020 WAM Song of the Year Grand Prize Winner Carla Geneve has been added to the bill to kick off the night with a special last-minute solo performance. Carla established herself as one of Australia’s most prominent up and coming artists with the release of her debut self-titled EP, receiving global praise from NPR, KEXP & Triple J. She's toured North... America with San Cisco and Australia prolifically - appearing at Falls Festival and Laneway Festival, as well as touring with the likes of Julia Jacklin, Cat Power and Kurt Vile. We like to keep the discoveries happening at Hidden Treasures and are working with our venues to spread the crowds so as many of you as possible can see each amazing band. Trolley Boy speak with the voice of Perth’s exiled suburbs, the alleys behind the rock bars, the piers at night. Germaine Jones’ lyrics possess an underdog poetry with a 70s punk grit, while the band’s new, all-women lineup of Perth scene veterans sharing blood with The Love Junkies, NEW TALK and Moana. Tomorrow night is shaping up to be a beauty!

09.01.2022 Twins, Maddy and Jess Larkman, front the dreamy folk outfit that is Oceanique - pairing their heavenly sibling harmonies with breezy and beautiful story telling lyrics. Their ethereal sound is inspired by the landscapes of their hometown Walpole. How do you feel about the return to live music in Fremantle? Fremantle has so many beautiful music venues and it’s so nice to see them all up and running. We are SO excited to play in front of audiences again, it’s lovely to be able... to share and connect with listeners face to face. Your favourite way to spend a day in Freo? A morning walk along South Beach, grabbing a coffee with good friends and then checking out all the hidden gems at the markets. How did you spend COVID-19 iso? Any new hobbies or tricks? We both headed down south to Walpole, where we spent time with our beautiful family, filmed and released a music video, did lots of arts and crafts and wrote a bunch of new songs! 01.01.2022 Tonight, multi-genre, multi-generational Freo based rhythm band Dilip 'n the Davs will be taking centre stage at Fremantle Navy Club as part of the final week of Hidden Treasures for 2020. An established feature on the WA music scene, with over 650 performances at venues and festivals, 7 albums and several WAM nominations and awards, this is a band that consistently delivers up-tempo, hi-velocity live shows. How do you feel about the return to live music in Fremantle?... Well this is Music City WA, so it's only right that live music has made its return. I have noticed much better crowds at the Freo venues I have been playing at. It's as if folks have returned with a renewed appreciation for what was taken away from them for some time. What do you love most about Hidden Treasures? As much as it's about the music, it's also very much about the community. One aspect I particularly love is the way former local bands are invited to perform - bands that haven't played for years suddenly have to renew their musical relationships.
