Alternatively we can deliver for a small $5 charge but please be patient - this may take a day or two. There are some is...sues with supply of ingredients and packaging, so some things are temporarily out of stock. Adrianna has been working extremely conscientiously in production with Hidden Valley since May 2019, creating our well known colorful, smooth and moisturising soaps. She pours her love and creativity into every pot, invoking a blessing that aims to cleanse and nourish the spirit. She specially loves that moment on Thursday mornings when she unmoulds the weeks soap and discovers th...e beautiful patterns and colours which she and nature have created this time. She also bottles most of our skin care products and essential oils, and helps Ali create all kinds of yummy cosmetics in the Luscious Ladies Lab. Most recently Adrianna studied Visual Art at North Regional Tafe and recognizes study will continue for her throughout life next on her list is Permaculture and finishing her Bachelor of Counselling. This interest is so exciting to see and reflects our own ethos of stepping sustainably in this world so that we can continue using amazing natural, plant-based ingredients whilst doing our very best to conserve nature. We pride ourselves on using recycled boxes for your orders not always the most attractive option but it means we can stop new ones from being made. We also use shredded paper to pack orde...rs which is shredded here in our own warehouse from scrap paper. The foam peanuts that we sometimes use also come from other packaging which we repurpose, we never buy our own. We made the switch from plastic to paper bags many years ago, and encourage you to bring your own bags whenever possible when shopping with us. Our overall intent is to reduce unsustainable landfill disposed packaging and general plastic and waste wherever possible and there is much to improve on in terms of ecofriendly, biodegradable packaging options from recycled paper to compostable Sellotape, we’re on a mission to reduce our waste. Due to the CV-19 travel restrictions to the Kimberley, Liz has generously given these books to be distributed through Broome businesses networks to Australians around the country, given the current state borders. Hidden Valley is sending them to our mail order customers, so you ma...y receive one if there is room in your next mail order. 15.01.2022 Had to let you know about our beautiful, NEW worldly Soap Gaia This soap evokes Earth from outer space, calling for a caring fresh breath after the world has just paused, a new beginning of proper respect for our Mother. Gaia soap had a mind of its own! We tried to create a Sun over Sea soap to match our WA honey myrtle + lime + orange collection of beautiful products evoking WA sun setting over our glorious coastline, something all West Australians understand. But twice,... the colours of blue, yellow & white which we chose evolved into beautiful visions of Earth as seen from outer space. What was being said here? What was insisting on coming through? Our soap maker said - its the Earth wanting recognition, its about taking a new breath after the pause our planet has just taken, a new beginning.... Of course! This is Gaia, our Mother, begging for respect, for new caring attitudes at this wondrous potent moment in her history. 14.01.2022 Always In 1995 Hidden Valley was registered and began trading @broomemarkets each Saturday morning. It was thrilling to sell about 40 soaps at the first market and to receive wonderful feedback. Within 2 years there was a thriving soap, candle and natural skin care range. The natural environment of Broome and the bush and beach became the inspiration for the creation of many new products. We enjoyed ‘making meaning’ out of our love for the Kimberley, expressing this in so...ap especially. Today we employ a marvellous and varied team and have an extremely loyal local Broome community supporting us, as well as a wonderful big mail order following. This year we have been busy getting a new website ready to make communications and ordering a much simpler, modern process. Looking back, we can see that the business has grown organically, like a tree, in ways unforeseen at the beginning. 09.01.2022 The fondest farewell and best wishes to our beautiful customer carer Valentina who is leaving us to have her first baby very soon. Val has been at Hidden Valley since July 2018. She is an incredible hard worker, always gives her absolute best, is loyal and committed and has an eye for detail which leaves customers always feeling loved and thought of. She started at Hidden Valley cleaning the shop and proceeded on to making beautiful soap with Smokey for the 2018 season. For ...the past 2 years she has been working in the shop, looking after our customers and working behind the scenes processing orders, all whilst taking great pride in the aesthetic of the shop and great customer care. 08.01.2022 A warm welcome to our newest team member Rachel Taylor who has joined Hidden Valleys shop front and customer service team. She is also helping Ali to get the new website operational and to streamline all our admin systems for easy, quick, helpful and efficient mail orders. Rachel has recently returned home to Broome after travelling through South America for three months with her partner. Before her travels, Rachel worked in the North Regional Tafe Administration office proc...essing student enrollments and assisting the lecturers. Originally from England, Rachel writes: I love all things creative and have a degree in Fine Art as well as professional experience in retail customer service and office administration. I have a huge love of nature and the outdoors and enjoy immersing myself in world travel and exploring the Kimberleys amazing back garden. A contentious consumer, I understand the importance of what we feed our bodies and what we put on our skin to ensure the best health and optimum results. We had moulds created in the shape of the heart urchin tests (skeletons) often found on the beach near Broome after peak tides. These shapes fit perfectly into your hand, and have the most delicate pattern on their surface. Broome people often collect and showcase them in their homes. Ali...son wanted to make soaps and shampoos from them for many years. . The soap itself is based on our Pearl soap, with its gentle fragrance of pure essential oils - rosewood, palma rosa, rose geranium, patchouli, petitgrain, lemongrass, tangerine and frankincense. We infuse Australian cold pressed macadamia oil with skin soothing herbs of chamomile, calendula, chickweed, nettle, elderflower, burdock, marrow and yarrow, jojoba, borage seed, organic camellia, sesame oil and pure essential oils of lavender, rosemary, ylang ylang, geranium & carrot seed oil.
