19.01.2022 ***SETTLED SNOW IS LIKELY ON THE NORTHERN TABLELANDS NSW, SOME SLEET OR VERY BRIEF SNOW IS A CHANCE ON THE GRANITE BELT QLD*** A Polar airmass is confidently fo...recast to move across Northern NSW and Southern QLD on Monday and Tuesday. The coldest low level snow temperatures with increased moisture and precipitation is expected to arrive on the Northern Tablelands at around 9pm Monday night and continue during Tuesday morning. Snow flurries are likely overnight Monday and during Tuesday morning above 1200meters ASL or at Guyra, Ben Lomond and Black Mountain. 3 - 5cms of settled snow is likely with up to 7cms possible at these locations. Snow is very possible during the same time frames above 1000 meters ASL or at Glen Innes, Armidale, Uralla, Walcha and Nundle with lesser amounts settled. Some sleet or some very brief snow is POSSIBLE / A CHANCE on the Granite Belt from 4am Tuesday to 9am Tuesday (during the coldest parts of the morning). We have accommodation booked in Guyra with QLD border passes and will report live from the NTs during Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. Fingers crossed mother nature plays nice and provides us with a white wonderland just like last year :) Torah keeps asking when are we going to see the nose man instead of the snow man haha, she is excited!
