03.01.2022 We are looking for a volunteer who is a local resident of Mandurah to join the Hidden Illnesses Disabilities (H.I.D.E) committee as one of our executive members, to manage our association's banking and bookkeeping. This volunteer oversees all of H.I.D.E’s finances, provides ongoing updates to the rest of the committee about our moneys, ensures we meet all our tax lodgement requirements, keeps/maintains our float and Square reader, does all of our banking and works with fellow... committee members to manage event, project and operational budgets. As one of our executive roles, whoever comes into this position would ideally be in it for 2 years. * Committee meetings are held every 4 weeks (with a 8 weeks hiatus over December/January). At the moment they tend to occur on Mondays although this changes according to committee members' availability; we try to stick to Monday or Tuesday If you cannot commit to meetings on those dates, you can provide and receive updates for/from the meetings via social media or email. * Every general committee member is also expected to put in hands-on hours with at least 3 events over the year (ranging from fundraising barbecues and local market stall membership drives, to our annual H.I.D.E Ball& Volunteers Awards Recognition * Of all the roles on the committee, this is the one where experience is most helpful - some basic familiarity with bookkeeping principles would be extremely useful, but beyond that, simply a willingness to collaborate and communicate with fellow volunteers is the main thing we are looking for. * As an estimate, this role would require 3 hrs per week, with some weeks requiring more, and others requiring less. Please note that if you are not already a Financial Member of the Hidden Illnesses Disabilities Enterprise, constitutionally, you will be required to join (for $10 per annum) before being confirmed into the role. This is simply a requirement that registered associations have to keep an ongoing list of official members. All funds from Membership fees go back into community projects/events. We look forward to welcoming you into the H.I.D.E family!
