23.01.2022 Lots of people say I bet tully has the best room, when will you do a room reveal for tully... the truth is, I think people would be under wowed (is that even a word) if they saw Tullys room. I know they would think there is nothing special about it and its just a normal room.. well the truth is, that is what I love about Tullys room. It is nothing special and fancy, but its his. It has a lion rug (which he is obsessed with), a beautiful green blanket that I hope he ...will keep forever, book shelves for his books, lots of baskets for his many toys, artwork that have all been given as gifts - from his godfather, my client, and from a long time friend of mine. He has a table and stools to draw, play LEGO and playdoh on and that is about it. Most of the things in his room are sentimental to me which is why I havent gone out and bought all new fancy things. I dont like the term room reveal as I feel like the best rooms grow over time and evolve but I will do a little room tour this week and show you Tullys room in more detail. 22.01.2022 I dont remember my dad being affectionate. Loving but in a stern way. Shaun is an affectionate dad. I love this about him. He is always giving his girls hugs and they have such a playful relationship. I have only been a witness to it for the past 4 years but I cant imagine it changing. Its the way they are. He is affectionate with tully in a different way. They play fight, wrestle and sit together watching movies but there is a special bond between father and daughters, especially these 3. I am glad Tully gets to witness the love and affection they have and hope if Tully becomes a dad, he will be just like his own dad xxx

22.01.2022 I remember posting these photos and was so excited. I loved working with this client and her 3 boys. Each boys room was so different and was designed based on their different personalities.. that was 5 years ago!!! Wow. Crazy how time flies.. except when in ISO :-)

21.01.2022 Its all about the desk space and setting up for online learning. Here are a few kids workspaces that I have included in my clients rooms. Sometimes I talk parents out of putting desks in childrens rooms as many kids really want a desk but wont use it. Every child is different and many children like to be in the hub of the house where the activity is. Other children like to get away from the noise and distraction and like to work quietly. whatever works for you and your fam...ily is what is right. I do know when designing a desk space I like to include a pegboard or pinboard for inspiration. I like to use pretty postcards or inspiring and fun cards to pin or clip to the pinboard. When you are feeling flat sometimes all you need is to see some color or picture and it brightens you up. Its the same with children. Adding photos of their friends, grandparents or people they cant see at the moment may even help and be a reminder that they are still close by. See more

18.01.2022 We just started this week having one week with the girls living with us and then one week with their mum. Already Tully is loving his sisters being around more and he is definitely spending more time in their room than anywhere else. His faces looks like this all the time at the moment. I know next week he will be walking around the house looking for them but he will get used to it. And then he has something to look forward to every week :-)

17.01.2022 I have been receiving a lot of messages lately and I have noticed in my client consultations (which are via MS Teams at the moment) that people are tired of all kids rooms looking the same. I believe it is an Instagram thing - people are influenced and they see gorgeous looking rooms so they tap on everything and buy everything in that room and then someone else does the same thing and then they share and someone else sees their post and they love that room so they tap and o...rder and then their childs room looks like the one they saw and then we have a whole lot of goregous rooms that all look the same.. so I am going share this week, kids rooms that are a little different. They may not be trendy (I feel old using that word) or everyones cup of tea but they will be different and special and rooms that I love like this one by @design_soda_ruthie. I love the wall color in this room and that the fireplace is the same color. The bed is rattan which we know is popular but in this room it is understated. I love the gallery wall with the personality it brings and the space decals which also tell me that this is the room of someone interested in the galaxy. I also love that this is unisex and I cant tell if a boy or girl lives in this room I hope you will enjoy and be inspired by the rooms I share over the next week :-) See more

Weve loved seeing our feeds flooded by gorgeous black and white pictures of many of you, but do you know the origins of the black and white photo challenge? Its all about Pnar Gultekin. She was reported missing in Turkeys Aegean province of Mugla on 16 July and found dead after being brutally murdered five days later. A man has been detained in rela...tion to her killing. Pinar was just 27 years old. People in Turkey regularly see black and white images of women on the news, but they are pictures of women who have been violently murdered; the country has one of the highest rates of femicide in the world. The photo challenge circulating right now was in response to Pinars death. A way for Turkish women to stand in solidarity with those lost and shine a light on what is happening. This is much more than an opportunity to post a nice pic of you. Its much more than supporting other women by asking them to do the same. Social media can do so much good, but so often the intended impactful message is quickly lost its kinda like playing that game where you whisper something in someones ear and then they pass it on to someone else and so on, and the original message comes out the other end completely different. So post your photo, but do if for Pinar and all the other women who have been lost to violence.

17.01.2022 Dear Nina, You were so young when I met you. 9 years old. Today you turn 14! On the first day I met you made me smile and laugh with your funny comments and 5 years later you still bring so much happiness to my life. Thanks for all the love you give to Tully, and all the joy that you bring your dad, Sophie and I. You have such an adventurous spirit and I can’t wait till lockdown is over so you can surf, climb, travel and do all the things that make you come alive. Happy birthday Nina - we love you xx

16.01.2022 Me in the kitchen would be a rare sight. Shaun was definitely the cook in our home. Then Covid came along. Shaun lost his job. We found that we were spending lots of money every time we went to the supermarket. Then I started to order Hello fresh for dinners just to stop us going to the supermarket daily (we dont have a lot of fridge/freezer, pantry space). But the biggest surprise is that I am now in the kitchen almost every night. I can follow a recipe, I have all the ingredients together and after two weeks and only burning the toasted almonds I am actually enjoying it.. Shaun thinks he has won the jackpot, after 4 years, I am finally cooking

16.01.2022 Another real room that I love. This one is by @piaskowy_dom that wallpaper is so divine and I love the wood paneling. There are lots of sweet touches in this room like the little bird houses, the garland, the moon, and the sweet linen.

15.01.2022 Four design options for a teen girl. After looking at her Pinterest board I could see she liked blush pink. The light wood coastal theme was also prominent. I put these design boards to show her and to see if she wanted to swap and change any. Maybe wallpaper in first image with prints in the last image.. she didnt. She loved one of them straight away... the first one. I have now sent her another 6 options for prints, once she chooses one we are good to go.. would love to know which one you like best xxx

13.01.2022 I have been waiting for and dreading those terrible twos I have heard so much about... tully is now 2 and 5 months and so far nothing .... if anything I am loving this time. He has the cutest voice, says the cutest things and he just makes us laugh all the time. I am so glad he doesnt know what is going on in the world. And I am so glad he can distract us and make us happy. I may need to screen shot this and read it over and over in a couple of days/weeks/months of isolation but for now the joy he brings is far outshining the darkness out there. 10.01.2022 For over 29 years I suffered from anxiety. At times it was debilitating. I would have my dad drive me to work and my pick me up. I was too anxious to drive. I missed out on so many social events, choosing to stay home where I felt safe. Its crazy to me in this unpredictable and scary time that I remain calm. I have no anxiety. I am not afraid or scared. Its one thing that I have learnt about anxiety is that you cant control it. When things are going great you can be anxio...us and when things are happening that are frightening you can be calm. To all those people feeling anxious and panicky, my heart is with you. I know its the worse feeling of all. But just remember it will pass. It does. Do the things that make you feel calm, read, have a bath, light candles, water the garden, talk to a friend.... it will pass.. just like this virus, we will find a vaccine and it will work and there will be no more carona. We just need to be patient, stay indoors, and be kind to each other xx See more

08.01.2022 Challenge accepted @beccunnington & @jacquimason !! My fave person on earth was a women (my nanna). All my BEST friends are women. ALL my clients are women. My fave singer is a woman (Taylor swift). My fave actor is a woman (Julia Roberts). There are inspirational women everywhere I look. Women get a bad wrap for being bitchy and reading what trolls write I can understand why. But all the women that i am surrounded by are kind, thoughtful, strong, supportive and just pure amazing. Thank you to all the women that have supported my business, that encourage and write lovely comments, to my mum, friends, my two amazing sisters, my aunties and my nannas - you all have impacted my life in such a positive way and I am so grateful that you were/are in my life #womensupportingwomen #womensupportwomen

08.01.2022 @hopewood_home receives my real kids room of the day today. I am a big fan of Susans handmade quilts which are beautiful. Here she has mixed her handmade quilt with a @rachelcastleandthings pillowcase. The triangle bunting is also handmade which is another reason I love this room as a touch of handmade always wins bonus points. And how could I not love that cool and quirky bear art on the wall

06.01.2022 Reading spaces dont have to be expensive or fancy. Sometimes all you need is a comfy cushion and a couple of decorative cushions. A little basket with books and viola... you have a time out space !

04.01.2022 A girls nursery design from 2016. I love looking back and seeing what I would change. This one I am still happy with and would probably keep it just as it is. Although this was before I had a child and now realise its probably coffee that should be on the side table and not water!!

04.01.2022 Another room that I adore this one is in from @agnieszka.krefta! Those yellow drawers are gorgeous and I love the bookshelf. I would not think to put yellow and blue together but they work perfectly in this girls room. I love the sweet touches like the bird hanging from the ceiling, the bag hanging from the bookshelf and the boxes on top of it. The bed is sweet, the wallpaper feminine and all the mismatched bedding and cushions. Would love to know what you love most in this room?

03.01.2022 It seems you are all excited to discover some new kids rooms. I have chosen this girls room to show that simplicity also can be beautiful. @brookandpeony has done a wonderful job of keeping her daughters room simple with room to play and things to do. Sometimes we fill our kids rooms with so much furniture and so many toys that there is no room to enjoy it. I love the big blackboard, the little desk in the corner with the paper roll and the sweet choice of toys. Sometimes keeping a room simple allows a child to use their imagination even more than a room filled with things.

03.01.2022 I had a few DMs after sharing the boys rooms asking about the decals in their rooms. These arent decals and were hand painted by the talented @janereiseger. I have always been a fan of janes work so I asked if she could come and paint wall features for the boys. Benji was interested in the world and loved learning so we chose a compass for his room, Elijah the animal lover chose a rino and Remy had a fave toy mouse that we decided to turn into a bandit mouse.. I love that these murals werent over the top and I love what @janereiseger created for these 3 wonderful boys Would love to know which one is your fave? I have a soft spot for bandit mouse :-)
