24.01.2022 Targa West 2019 Our biggest local event is over for another year. We had another successful event finishing 4th in Early Modern and 9th outright. We have been c...onsistently improving our speed and stage times and also developing the Evo's performance. We had a clear run apart from a starter motor failing on the last day. The quality of cars this year has certainly stepped up and we really enjoyed competing with some seriously fast cars and seasoned drivers. We had a great time trading times with David Heaton and Caleb Ash in the R35 Nismo all weekend. Scott and Rennae took care of our servicing during the event. We built our own van earlier this year to aid servicing and it certainly made things a lot smoother. We couldn't have asked for any more from the guys. They made our job very easy so thank you. WM Waste Management Services have been supporting us for the last couple of years and are our major sponsor for the upcoming Targa High Country in November which we will be competing in again. Without their support we wouldn't be able to do three major events per year. Allstar Garage have been building and maintaining our Evos for many years. Our cars are always fast and reliable and rarely have problems because of them. The guys at Allstar are some of the most experienced Evo motorsport people out there, which is why we trust them with our cars. (The car is already back at Allstar Garage being stripped down for a major checkover before Targa High Country. We also run a different Turbo setup for High Country to suit the more windy alpine roads. The MCA suspension will go back to QLD for a checkover and maintenance.) GT Pumps built us a fresh turbo for this event. Mark is very easy to deal with and always helps us out with advice, different combos and fast turnaround times. We have been working with Sam at Neat Gearboxes for some time now. Known as one of the best gearbox builders in the country. We have been working on an optimum final drive ratio to suit our specific requirements. We are waiting on delivery of a Brena Corse dog box and rear diff gears to complete a full Brena Corse drive line from front to back. We have also been developing some other Evo parts which will be available through Neat Gearboxes very soon. Thank you to our Team Mates, Will, Jasmin, Bill, Matt, Glenys, Blair, Carl, Simon and Jurgen. They are a pleasure to rally with and are a wealth of knowledge. Thanks also to Ross, Jan, David and all of the officials and volunteers at Targa West Events for putting on these amazing events. Big Thanks to Keian Guy for calling the notes all weekend whilst being very sick with not just the flu but the more dangerous and aggressive MAN FLU. He barely survived having to push start the car on Riverside Drive. Keian was spot on all event and I couldn't ask for a better Co-Driver and mate to rally with. And of course, a huge thank you to Sherrill and Jolene and the kids, Imogen, Coen, Charlie and Hamish. We simply couldn't do this without them. They give up a lot while we are out having fun racing and all of the countless hours we spend getting ready for rallies and we love having them out there supporting us. Bring on Targa High Country in November!

22.01.2022 Here we go again Targa High Country 2019 About to embark on a three day road trip across this great country of ours ( as usual going to be just a much fun as ...the event itself ). The car is ready thanks to Allstar garage in Malaga and both Dennis and Myself can not wait to get into this epic targa trip ! Racing starts Friday 8th November early up in beautiful Mt Buller ski resort. The racing is going to be fast yet controlled straight away from the first stage through some of the best tarmac roads Australia has to offer. We do have to thank the following businesses Allstar Garage for there expert racecar preparation and WM Waste for their generosity to allow us the privilege to enter this amazing event. 22.01.2022 Its been a long time coming. Our first few full billet RB25/26 oil pumps are ready for testing. These pumps, just like our Barra pumps are 100% designed, developed and manufactured in house by us in Western Australia using the latest Cad software and CNC machines. We have been manufacturing oil pump gears for close to 20 years and have now expanded into complete billet oil pumps.... Now available for pre order. Featuring: Full billet 5 axis machined 6061 housing Billet EN series HSE high flow oil pump gears, isotropic polished (higher flow than the OEM RB pumps) Billet steel backing plate, isotropic polished Stainless steel blanking caps Externally adjustable pressure relief valve Smoothed and high flowed internal oil galleries Annodised in various colours Every pump is fully inspected individually assembled and laser etched. All OEM mounting heights are retained and compatible with aftermarket triggers.

18.01.2022 We have had a very busy couple of months at HSE. We have installed another new 5axis wire EDM machine to keep up with growing demand for our oil pump gears and also a new CNC lathe with C+Y axis milling to take some pressure off our CNC milling machines.

14.01.2022 Latest High Speed Engineering limestone block lifter iteration. This one will safely lift 400-500 wide blocks. Designed and manufactured in house, this lifter is for the real big blocks more commonly used in commercial applications. This setup consists of 8 pot Brembo race calipers, 343mm Alcon rotors, custom caliper mounts and custom rotor hats all fitting inside a 17 wheel. Tonight is the second last round of the season, and there are over 80 cars in the field. Get down to the Perth Motorplex from 6 PM to catch some action and support WA Motorsport.

14.01.2022 The first billet barra oil pump complete and ready for testing by Monsta Torque. These pumps are completely designed and manufactured in house by us at High Speed Engineering. We have total control over these parts from ordering materials to assembly and packaging. Next up, RB oil pumps.

14.01.2022 Trophy truck axle replacements. The sample had no spline left on the axle or the drive plate. Two new axles and drive plates knocked up, heat treated and out the door.

Nothing was available off the shelf, so custom it is. Fancy materials, heat treatment, and post-hardening machining to keep the tight tolerances required for a long lasting cv.

10.01.2022 One of our customers came and saw us about a new HDT belt pulley he needed to slow down a dry sump pump. Going from 40 teeth to 56 meant a large diameter increase but he could just manage to squeeze the big pulley in. Take the sample part, add a bit of CADtrickery, a bit of time on the lathe and mill, and voila...
