Homemade during the Depression, this dresser is testament to the make-do and mend attitude that helped local farming families through the toughest of times... as it does today. 10.01.2022 This beauty needed a little love when she came to us, but in the process we found a fabulous relic of the past; the underside of the slab bench top shows the relatively intact newspaper onto which it was poured. While the date of the paper is missing, the detailed accounts of WWI suffering (not for the faint of heart) and the effects of the Spanish Influenza pandemic on Adelaide residents suggests the paper is at least 100 years old.
