22.01.2022 Harvest 2019 is done and dusted! With a GSR of 222mm and YTD rainfall of 254mm with 20mm of that during harvest we are pleased with yields and quality in Wheat and Barley. Peas performed OK but Lentils struggled on the limited rainfall and both had already run their race before we scored a tidy 32mm mid Sept which made good filling of cereals. Frost was a problem again but was limited to only a few low lying areas in wheat and not as significant as the 2018 frosts. Chaff lining is something we have committed to this harvest. A chaff chute was manufactured for the CR combine and ran for the full harvest.

18.01.2022 We finished seeding 2017 last Monday after a total of 17mm rain and the rest of the week was spent prickle chaining some paddocks to assist mouse control as well as spreading mouse bait. Also got all the PSPE over the peas and lentils done. Just the rolling of the peas and lentils with the heavy steel rollers after the next (hopeful) rain event.

11.01.2022 A rain moth today hopefully a sign of the forecast rain! Feb 25-35mm, March 10mm & April to date 25-35mm has been very welcome. Spreading SoA the past few weeks and Speedtillering has us ready for seeding in early May. Waiting now for a decent early knockdown that we haven't had for the past 3 seasons.

08.01.2022 Productive day knocking down some wheat. Thanks to Simon Westbrook for lending a hand with this task and shaking down his brand new MF WR9980 with Razor bar disc front.

02.01.2022 Been awhile since an update but rain in the guage this morning is something we havent seen for some time! With a very dry summer and no subsoil moisture we won't start seeding until after a germination of weeds for a decent knockdown spray. We've set our start date towards mid May.
