23.01.2022 Hi Everyone just to update you on our progress. We have been having monthly meetings and working hard on club records for both short course and long course meets from 2017 until now. Those certificates will be going out to the swimmers in the next month. We have had a Return to Training and Meets and are currently working on the Clubs Covid Safe Plan for a Return to Club Nights. To help us out we need ALL members to log onto Swim Central and check their Mobile Number and Email address is CURRENT. 23.01.2022 A big shout out to our little stars yesterday. This season parents cannot come to meets due to Covid restrictions so Louisa, and Julian had to come with no parents. They swam like stars and with support from our team got to where they were going with big smiles on their faces. Just a couple of photos to show how much fun they had. Today we continue racing with Day 2 of our program.

21.01.2022 DDRSA Regional Short Course Champs at Glennie were held over the weekend. Here are some of the team members that swam over the weekend. There were amazing PBs, lots of firsts and swimmers that were extremely close to QLD Short Course Champs qualifying times. Outstanding results team.

21.01.2022 While the rest of us wind down for the season, our club members Bella Scrivens and Caelan Mills will compete this weekend at the Jess Schipper Challenge and Speedo National Prep Meet. Keep your eyes on Meet Mobile and the live stream and cheer them on. Congratulations Caelan and Bella on this great achievement!

16.01.2022 Last night our club president Fran presented Lachlan Smith with a gift from the club in recognition of his achievement in qualifying for the State Swimming Championships. Lachlan always represents our club with great pride and he spoke last night about the wonderful support and friendships he has through our club. He heads to Brisbane on the weekend and we know he will do us proud. Go Lach!!

16.01.2022 Tonight at club we took the time to recognise outgoing members of the committee (past and present), some of whom we could not acknowledge formally at the end of last season due to COVID restrictions. Once again we thank Lisa Brogan, Jen Jasinski, Megan Hosking and Julie Elliott. These ladies have devoted many hours to the development of our club and to supporting our swimmers and we acknowledge all that they have done and continue to do. You are appreciated ladies!

Thanks to the Mattocks Family for giving up their Sunday and handing them out to some excited swimmers. If you havent collected yours then email the club to collect them. We need more photos of the kids wearing their club shirts so if you want to email them in that would be great also. I can then use them on the club website if they are in their club shirts. Happy to take more photos if you werent in your club shirt the first time.

11.01.2022 Queensland Secondary Schools Championships were due to be held in Brisbane at Chandler on the 26-28 March. Due to Covid 19 it was cancelled. We were very lucky to have two swimmers named in the Darling Downs Secondary Schools team. Harrison Ward (left) made the team for the very first time in the 200 breaststroke and Lachlan Smith (right) made the team for the 50 Free, 100 Free, Free relay and Medley relay. The club would like to use their opportunity to congratulate the boys on their amazing achievement.

04.01.2022 A special note for those swimming in Gatton on Sunday : If parents have purchased tickets you must email our club Secretary Tania at [email protected] to let her know you are attending and have your tickets. This is important as we need to ensure every parent attending has completed COVID safe training. If your child does will not have a parent attending, please also let us know as we need to organise supervision. This may also mean another parent who normally could not attend will be able to go to the meet, so we would appreciate you letting us know. Thanks and good luck to all our swimmers.
