21.01.2022 Over the weekend, two of our incredible staff members were awarded statewide recognition for their excellence. Miss Shez Morris, Highlands Teacher-Librarian (centre), was awarded QSLA Teacher Librarian of the Year. This is an annual award to encourage an exceptional school teacher-librarian and recognise an outstanding contribution to teacher-librarianship. The criteria for nominees was to show an exemplary contribution to teaching and learning in their school, innovativ...e practice and advocacy for the teacher-librarian profession. Shez is certainly a deserving recipient of this award and we're so proud of her achievement. Mrs Mia Patterson, Deputy Principal at Highlands Christian College, was also honoured and awarded QSLA School Leader of the Year. This is also an annual award to recognise and encourage school principals/ school leaders who provide outstanding support for their school library and school library staff. We're so thrilled to have Shez and Mia recognised for their support and endorsement of our library. We're so grateful for such incredible leaders in our community! Congratulations, Shez and Mia! #WeAreHighlanders See more

19.01.2022 For our last Highlands Christian College Captain introduction, we'd love for you to meet Jazmine! Here are some fun facts about Jaz: - I have two younger siblings who go to Highlands as well. - I am a dancer I have been doing Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and Hip-Hop since I was 3 years old.... - My dream is to have my own coffee shop - I love being a Captain here at Highlands! There is truly something special about our school, and getting the opportunity to lead all of the students here is such an honour. It brings me so much joy knowing that I am able to be there for those around me and act as a positive guide & role model in their lives. Thanks Jazmine, we look forward to seeing your dreams for the future come true! #WeAreHighlanders See more

18.01.2022 Now that you've met all of our Senior College Captains, we'd love for you to get to know our Primary College Captains. This is Mali, one of the Vice Captains. We asked Mali a few questions about herself and these are her answers: ... "When I'm older I would like to travel the world as a dancer or be a photographer. It would also be fun to be a famous choreographer. My hobbies are dancing, I absolutely love dancing! I also really enjoy Gymnastics. I have a lot of favourite subjects but I especially like art because I get to be creative. It's a subject that you don't have to study for and there's no pressure to be perfect." Thanks Mali #WeAreHighlanders See more

06.01.2022 What an impressive game played on Wednesday by our Boys Open Soccer team in the SSI Red Lions Cup! Chasing back to back premierships, our senior boys went down narrowly to a determined Harristown side. Amazing game, and so well played. Great job, boys!

05.01.2022 Our final student introduction for this year is our Primary Captain, Matthew! Learn more about Matthew with some of these cool insights from our conversation! "I think that when I leave school I want to be a doctor, or something like that, because you can see your impact on other people's lives, both physically and mentally, and that in itself is rewarding.... In my spare time, I like playing basketball , definitely cooking , and playing with friends or siblings. My favourite subjects at school are English because it is fun to learn about advertisers techniques in the advertising unit, Sport because it is a chance to be active and just have a good time, Music because I really enjoy playing the piano/keyboard, and HASS because we are playing a term-long fun game to see what the government/Parliament is like." It's been great to get to know you better, Matthew! #WeAreHighlanders See more
