23.01.2022 IMPORTANT CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS UPDATE Thank you to everyone for your patience as we carefully considered how to proceed with this event. After much delibe...ration, the South Queensland Regional Committee of Highland Dancing Inc has made the decision that the Champion of Champions Championship of Australia cannot proceed as planned this year. The Champion of Champions Championship is the most prestigious National Championship in Australia and it was felt that it would not be fair if all eligible dancers were unable to attend due to the volatile nature of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although these Championships will not proceed, the SQRCHDI plans to host an alternative event on the same dates and at the same venue. The Queensland Festival will incorporate the Queensland Championships and supporting events, and will be held on the 10th and 11th April at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre, Carrara, Gold Coast. We would like to thank the highland dancing community for their continued support and understanding as we navigate these extraordinary times. We warmly welcome all highland dancers who are able to attend this COVID Safe event. The schedule will be available as soon as possible. SQRCHDI Executive

We wish we were able to celebrate with you properly, but for now we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, love and support. Here's to the day when the village halls, and stages, and theatres, and arenas are full, and we can join hands and dance together again.
