25.01.2022 Fabulous time playing at The Gov as part of their Saturday Sessions. Crooked Road were great hosts, they are also terrific to listen too, with their bluegrass infused harmony driven songs....a very polished act indeed. Casey and Emma (The Fairy Lights) had some stellar story songs and we welcomed The New Zeekers for their debut performance. Thanks Richard for doing sound and huge thanks to friends and family for your support.

25.01.2022 We were lucky enough to have AJ Kevern join us for a practice yesterday, playing his fabulous double bass.. AJ normally plays with Nobody's Sweethearts, terrific sounding western swing band, but will be joining us for our NYE gig......all will be revealed..literally!

24.01.2022 The band is back together and growing! !Welcome Joost Herweijer our fabulous bass player...actually he’s been with the band for some time, it twas I who was out of action! Giggin in the lounge room, lovin the sounds.

15.01.2022 Highly Strung had a busy but fun time being part of the Quorn Country Music Muster. A few of us arrived early and played some tunes at the Transcontinental pub on Friday night. The publican Brenton really looked after us. Rather amusing to get a request for Delta Dawn from the young lasses! Next day was playing at the railway station as passengers disembarked off the heritage Pitchi Ritchi steam train. A perfect time to pull out train songs! The highlight of our visit was p...laying to a warm and appreciative audience as part of the country music muster, raising funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and Childhood Cancer. Des Hartman and his team of amazing helpers made us, and many other performers, feel very welcome and set up a great professional stage for performing. Thanks also to our sound man- top job. Sunday saw some walk ups back at the pub and enough time to rest and explore the wonderful historic town of Quorn, worth a visit at any time. Special thankyou to Sue and Bob for their warm hospitality and to the nice police officer that returned all my worldly belongings as I accidentally left them on the side of the road!! See more

13.01.2022 Hello all, if you fancy a trip to the beautiful mid north, then come along and join Highly Strung who will be playing at the Quorn Country Music Muster. Starting on Thursday 16th May.

13.01.2022 Tomorrow....Highly Strung along with a few other bands/artists will be playing at the Saturday Sessions at The Gov 1 - 5. Free entry. A visit to Plant 4 Bowden produce market is also a must, just up the road. Make a day of it...:)

We just love the talent and friendship he brings to our band, always enthusiastic and a great contributor to our overall sound. In true band style, we sang him Happy Birthday in 3 part harmony! 03.01.2022 Our next gig is at the Olive Branch ‘Club Accoustica’ on Sunday 7 July. Book a table. The evening starts around 5.30. We’re playing a bit later but there’s a great line up and yummy food/wine. All in all a very pleasant way to spend a winters evening:)

03.01.2022 HAPPY NEW YEAR to everybody! Highly Strung bought in the new year playing at the fabulous Sunlands Nudist report, Robe. The resort is nestled among 370 hectares of natural bush with stunning beach access over the dunes. Let’s say we all rose to the occasion and what happens in Robe stays in Robe... or otherwise known as Disrobe. We loved playing to a fun and enthusiastic audience, scantily dressed in all manner of underwater dress ups! Plenty of testicules, I mean tentacles. Happy days
