25.01.2022 Dropped in to @thedutchtradingco for dinner and a couple of drinks last night. Smash burger is good stuff and looks like @rockyridgebrewing are on a winner with #CaptainPaddocks too :) @lori_luyer had the pork ribs (sooooo tender) and loved the new @thewestwindsgin #plumgin :)
25.01.2022 A few weeks back, before we started having to avoid each other for our own good, I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch of a new nitro bike team here in WA. Nitro Triumph Australia have put together an awesome deal with an as yet un-raced Puppet chassis and a Triumph engine that found fame at the hands of Jay Upton. Kev and Dale Gummow have plenty of bike experience between them, and with the help of some of their friends, they were planning on hitting the Perth Motorplex drag strip for some testing towards the end of the 2019/20 season, which has unfortunately been cut short. It's safe to say we can't wait to see what they get up to when the track re-opens :)

22.01.2022 @lori_luyer and I checked out #TheWaverley at @westfieldcarousel last night, I had a #choconut porter and and we shared this meat platter, including a full rack of ribs, sliced porterhouse steak, prawns and chicken wings, accompanied by some corn on the cob, chips and a salad. Meant to feed 3-4, there were only a few wings and chips left when we were done :) Going to need a bit of exercise to make up for it today though :) #microbrewery #PerthEats
22.01.2022 This joint is definitely on our 'must visit' list in the #SouthWestWA region - Wild Hop Brewing Company are knocking out some amazing beers, with a few kegs heading to ohter venues, but most of their production sold at the venue at the moment, and exclusively on tap to date, the best way to get your hands on some of their amazing beers is right at the source. Seen here is a You Say Add Junk, We Say Adjunct Raspberry Coffee Porter (an amazing #coffeeporter with a solid kick t...hanks to several kilos of locally roasted beans) and a @WiseWine pink gin and tonic - it seems when we visit breweries down here, @Lori_Luyer will often find a new favourite #gin as well :) While you're here, make sure to try the food from the kitchen - this is the Slow Cooked Beef Brisket with Sauerkraut and Pickle wrap - we also can't come here without grabbing a feed of their amazing beer battered pickles. #VisitBusselton #ExperienceWA #JustAnotherDayInWA #HighOctanePhotos #SouthWestWA #SouthWestCraftBeerBogans #CraftBeer #MargaretRiver #Yallingup #FoodPorn See more

11.01.2022 Just dropped in to @beerpourium for a drink and to check the place out.. my pick today is @wildhopbeer's Interpersonal Ambiguity Saison - great drop :) awesome venue too :) I love walking in to a venue that feels like something you'd build yourself, this is a great place and I reckon we'll be back a few more times

08.01.2022 Coming back to earth after a huge weekend now. And a few financial realisations coming home to roost. I noticed on the weekend a little band of light at the top of some of my shots (cropped out easily in post at this point) - this is a sign I've seen before, it's a shutter on the way out. I've contacted Canon this morning, and the estimate is just under a grand, plus shipping each way. This is understandable, the shutter is a consumable part and I've gotten 4 years (and a h...ell of a lot of photos) out of this one. Also on the weekend the wonderfully evil people from Canon found time to slip the new version of my camera into my hand for a few test shots. This amazing beast of a camera retails for a shade under $11000, and takes a pair of CFexpress cards that cost up to $2000 each. Now this is where the hard decisions come into play. I don't want to go putting ads all over the website (I probably can't do it anyway, and last time I did, it didn't pay well anyway). I hate 'gofundme' type deals and would much rather just pay my own way. So, if I can ask one thing, it is that if you see a photo I've taken, and you like it enough to want to post it on your instagram, facebook, print it out and put it on your wall etc - please think about buying it from the website (there's a little picture of a shopping trolley in the bottom right hand corner that will let you do just that) There are options from little 500 pixel downloads up to full original resolution shots and a whole bunch of print options - there are 2 print labs that I use - one is in Texas and they have a huge range of products (with the dollar the way it is at the moment I don't make much out of those products, but they do some cool stuff) and there's also an amazing print lab right here in WA who do prints on high quality paper and canvas work. If there's something you want, and it's not on the website, send me a message and I'll try to make it happen. I'm not in this to make millions, but I would like to at least have enough left over after paying my hosting, taxes etc etc to be able to subsidise my gear and it's maintenance expenses...
