25.01.2022 Summer's really turning up the heat! This time of year getting your soil wet down, and keeping it moist is a bit of a challenge, temps are pushing into the 40C range and higher in places. So if you're indoors, raise your lights, bump that AC up if you got it, check all your fans, and even consider dropping the wattage down a tad (cooked plants aren't healthy plants!). ... Outdoors, if you're able, swapping to evening waterings (or night missions!) Is a great way to conserve water. Long, deep soaking is the best way, make the roots chase the water down, this promotes a more stable plant, but also makes the roots less vulnerable to the fluctuations at the surface. So setting your dripper/irrigation for a long soak, is a good change to make. A wetting agent is a fantastic thing to add to your arsenal too, just make sure it's organically derived, not the petro chemical stuff. (GREEN-SUPREME can offer a lot here, and helps in reducing plant stress, like a plant-chill-pill) And of course, mulch mulch mulch....Did I say mulch? Straw, sugarcane, (or ALFA-MULCH...), just get something organic on the ground for coverage to stop the sun's brutality. 13.01.2022 Nearly the tail end of Growvember and if you're trying to grow some skitz huge monster plants, it's not a bad idea to look at boosting your Nitrogen and Potassium inputs. I think it's always a good idea to boost both simultaneously, as too much nitrogen by itself promotes a lot of sappy growth which is prone to bug attacks and adverse weather events. We've found a really effective combo is a top dressing (or well-brewed tea!) Of HERB-SUPERB supergrass formula, along with ei...ther some foliar applications or root drenches of GREEN-SUPREME.
