16.01.2022 Great to see at the National Beef Carcase Competion Awards Dinner, that was held at the largest beef expo in Australia Rockhampton Beefweek 2018 had Thousand Guineas Shorthorn Beef as the main meal. Congratulations to JBS for seeing that Shorthorn Beef was such a great product it needed to be identified and to the Shorthorn Society for getting behind JBS. It is great to see our product front and center at major beef presentation Dinners.

16.01.2022 When i get down low the oats crop doesnt look too bad considering its only had a total 30mls of rain.

16.01.2022 One of the first things i was taught about breeding cattle was behind every good bull is an even better cow. That is certainly true with Highrange Masterpiece M18 that we are offering at the National Shorthorn Show and Sale Dubbo on the 12th & 13th of June 2018. Marellan Augusta 2245 is certainly in the very top of our herd. She was Grand champion Shorthorn female at Sydney Royal Show 2017 and certainly has bred well for us. Masterpiece is a natural calf of Marellan Augusta 2245 who was grand champion female at Sydney Royal 2017. 10.01.2022 Had a great time Pregnancy testing the cows and Heifers lately. This year because we have moved to new area and we need to move our calving forward a bit, we only joined them for 5 weeks. We still ended up with all but one in calf.

09.01.2022 We have always known how great Shorthorn Beef is by how much we have enjoyed eating our own beef. When everyone is going to restock after the drought dont overlook the Shorthorn Breed. To fit into the Thousand Guineas program cattle need to be a minimum 75% Shorthorn. If you have some steers or heifers that would suit the Thousand Guineas program call your nearest JBS buyer. 04.01.2022 Had a great show at Barraba Show today. Highrange Augusta M14 won the 12-16 months class then reserve Junior champion shorthorn heifer and then won the best Local Exhibit. Highrange Mitzi N02 placed 2nd in the 12-16 months class. Highrange Masterpiece M18 placed 2nd in the 12-16 months bull class. Congratulations to Barraba Show on a great show and congratulations to all the Exhibitors on a great showing of cattle.

03.01.2022 JBS Australia are now sourcing suitable Shorthorn feeder heifers for supply into the Thousand Guineas brand and delivered to Prime City Feedlot, Tabbita, NSW. H...eifers are required to be Pregnancy tested empty by a qualified technician no more than 14 days prior to delivery and the pregnancy testing certificate must be supplied with the vendors NVD form upon delivery to Prime City. Given the prevailing dry conditions across much of Eastern Australia, supplying heifers into the Thousand Guineas market provides Shorthorn producers with another high value market for those secondary and feeder heifers that may be surplus to requirements for joining as replacements this winter. If you have suitable Shorthorn feeder cattle to market this autumn, make sure that you contact your local JBS Australia Livestock buyer.

Michael did a great job and lead Highrange Augusta M14 to Reserve Junior Champion Shorthorn Female. Amelia did a great job taking the photos for us. Tammy lead Highrange Mitzi N02 for 1st place in the 12-16 months class and Highrange Masterpiece M18 placed 2nd in the 12-16 months bull class....
