23.01.2022 Google reviews from clients/customers can do wonders for you business. Why? Well they show you are trustworthy, they help with your SEO and they improve your business’ credibility. So how can you increase the number of reviews you’re receiving? ... It’s pretty simple just try asking for them! Here’s 4 quick ways that you can incorporate asking for reviews into your marketing plan: Use buttons. Add them to your confirmation of purchase emails and e-newsletters. These buttons should link directly to the reviews section on your Google My Business listing to make it super easy for your customers. Print it. Add a couple of lines about how much you’d appreciate a review and where to leave them on any printed material that goes out with a purchase. You can also add this to your invoices and receipts. Ask verbally. Whether you have a store front or regularly speak to customers/clients on the phone get into the habit of asking for a review while you’re serving them. Share them. Not only does sharing your reviews on your website and social media look great in terms of trustworthiness and credibility, it also encourages others to leave reviews. Give it some of these tips a shot and let us know how you go. Because after all, here’s no harm in asking, right ;)

18.01.2022 Here’s your friendly reminder to make sure that your opening hours are up to date for the coming Easter long weekend. We’re talking Website Google My Business... Socials Speaking of rabbits... Douglas has serious Mr. McGregor vibes at the moment chasing the hoards of rabbits at our place off of his precious piece of turf. So far he has tried ferrets, a ridiculous solar-powered motion sensor alarm that he found online (the rabbits sit in-front of it and ignore it ) and he has even resorted to vacuuming their poo off his lush green grass. Yes I said vacuuming. He is a man possessed. Send help

This has resulted in a big boost in productivity for me as I no longer feel overwhelmed opening up my inbox!... What little things are you doing to keep yourself feeling productive in your work or personal life?

14.01.2022 Google reviews We've recently started asking clients for Google reviews at the completion of a project. Why?... Reviews are the digital equivalent to 'word of mouth recommendations' (something that our business already thrives on) They add trust and credibility to your brand They help with your SEO ranking, with studies showing that more than six times out of ten the business with the top listing in a Google search will have the most Google reviews We'd love to know - how many Google reviews do you currently have? A special thanks to Karen from Sandhurst Ridge Winery for this recent glowing review of Douglas' web work

13.01.2022 What do you do when the tourism industry in the area comes to a grinding halt? With the vast majority of their members having to shut doors almost overnight due to Covid-19, Heathcote Tourism & Development were keen to keep Heathcote in the fore of people's minds until restrictions began to lift. As a result, we (Hannah) have had a lot of fun coming up with the concept of a series of Educational Wine & Beer videos to keep people thinking about Heathcote while they're at home.... Working with the guys at Hebron Films we were able to produce 11 videos which you'll find on Explore Heathcote's Facebook and Instagram pages over the coming weeks. The series of videos kicked off last week with the first featuring India Munari of Munari Wines teaching viewers 'How to sound like a wine expert' and received a terrific response. Let us know what you think!

09.01.2022 This song has been popping into my head a lot in the last 24 hours, particularly the line "life's a piece of shit" ;) What will business look like for you over the next 6 () weeks? For us here it will mostly be business as usual.

07.01.2022 Hannah is back! After about 6 months off on maternity leave I thought it might be a good time to introduce myself to any new followers or just to say hi So here's 5 things you (probably) didn’t know about me...... I spent 7 years driving tip trucks, front end loaders and forklifts for the family garden supplies business after finishing school. I have a canary yellow 1960 Volkswagen Beetle convertible that my dad restored for my 18th birthday. I love to get out in the veggie garden and I'd love to be able to grow all of our own food. At the moment it's zucchinis. So many zucchinis. Please send your best recipes that are not zucchini slice! Numbers are not my thing. In high school my mum and I would both be in tears trying to figure out my maths homework. Against a lot of advice I dropped maths halfway through year 11 and it was THE BEST feeling. I remember my beautiful art teacher Mrs A. hugging me, she was so excited that I’d finally done it. I’m a big positive birth advocate and birthed all three of our boys peacefully in our beautiful home.

07.01.2022 Whether or not your own business is in a lockdown area, if your customers are you’ll need to make a few updates. Here’s a quick checklist to make sure you have your digital info up to scratch: Website: Make sure all Covid relevant information is clearly visible including opening hours and how to purchase from you.... Google My Business: You’ll find some great Covid prompts on your GMB listing including space to post your Covid update, business hours and a new feature highlighting online appointments. Social Media: In addition to updating all of the relevant info in your About section we suggest ‘pinning’ a post to the top of your feed highlighting the current changes to your business. Also take advantage of the ‘Food Orders’, ‘Gift Cards’ and ‘Support Small Business’ stickers on Instagram Stories to direct people through to your website. Have you made these updates since the latest lockdown commenced?

04.01.2022 NEW LOGO Douglas has recently finished off this logo update for Portwine Joinery Pty Ltd based just out of Echuca. The logo needed to portray the sophistication and artistry behind Ash and his team's cabinetmaking with the deep red wine colour portraying the family name.
