25.01.2022 It’s satisfying to have a constant source of food growing on your doorstep. When we feel like some sweet potato chips I just go dig up a few nuggets from the garden. #growyourownfood #organicgardening #sweetpotato

24.01.2022 We’ve had bucket loads of beautiful sweet peas these last couple of weeks. It’s hard to resist eating them straight off the plant. #organicgardening #peas #growyourownfood

23.01.2022 I noticed this staghorn fern (or possibly elk horn) starting to grow on the trunk of our mango tree. I don’t know much about them but google tells me these baby ferns are called pups. I suppose that makes sense since they grow on bark!

20.01.2022 Our greensmart pots just keep giving. These have looked after themselves for the past 2 weeks while we were away. #growyourownfood #organicgardening #greensmartpots

19.01.2022 Even though we have plenty of space and in ground beds, we still use our greensmart pots for growing while we are away. They will look after themselves for a couple of weeks, depending on what’s planted in them. #growtourownfood #organicgardening #selfsufficiency

19.01.2022 I always have trouble photographing native bees! They are so small and fast the camera never wants to focus on them. This one has a load from the nasturtiums. #nativebees #growyourfood #organicgardening

19.01.2022 Wondering what to do with all those tomatoes?

16.01.2022 The weather is warming up and it’s time for a haircut. Does this still qualify as #vegan if we use it for garden mulch? #gardenmulch #organicgardening #portuguesewaterdog #springisintheair

16.01.2022 Our #blacksapote trees have been pumping out these gems. They are an odd fruit and ripen to the point where they look extremely unpalatable. But once you get the taste of chocolate fudge pudding it’s fantastic. I have to get some recipes for creating brownies etc. #organicgardening #growyourownfood #chocolatepuddingfruit

14.01.2022 Our used teabags generally go into the compost bin, but here are some other ways to use them.

13.01.2022 And then there were three. Another duckling down. #organicgardening #ducklings #keepyourcatsinside

12.01.2022 With so many tomatoes at the moment, here is an easy way to save them.

09.01.2022 Busy bees doing bee stuff to the nasturtiums. #bees #organicgardening #growyourownfood #beehappy

09.01.2022 The cutest new family with 5 ducklings is wandering around our garden. We just lost 2 Curlew chicks to local cats. Unfortunately most of these chicks will probably suffer a similar fate because some cat owners suffer from the delusion that their cute cats couldn’t possibly kill anything. #ducklings #killercatstrikesagain #gardening

08.01.2022 We are excited to see our blueberries producing fruit. We have 3 bushes, but only the 2 OB1 variety are producing at this stage. #blueberries #growyourownfood #ob1blueberry #organicgardening

07.01.2022 Our little wild pumpkin patch is providing some weed suppression and some pumpkins. #organicgardening #growyourownfood #pumpkinpatch

03.01.2022 Figs are coming on strong. #growyourownfood #organicgardening #figs

02.01.2022 The low maintenance food garden is thriving using our Greensmart Pots. When we are away we know we don’t have to worry about water. #organicgardening #greensmartpots #growyourownfood #organicfood

02.01.2022 Zuchini are on their way. #organicgardening #growyourownfood
