Write down all your non negotiables that need to get done for the week- This helps with staying on track and not forgetting what to do. Plan your fitness schedule- I know this doesn’t always go to plan however if you have a guideline that you can stick to it definitely helps you keep accountable rather than just hoping to fit one in.... Get up and watch the sunrise - This always sets me up for the best day, puts me in a good mindset and helps me find clarity. Gratitude journal- EVERY DAY. Wrote down 3 things you’re truly grateful for in your day. Start by just writing down the easier to think ones as the days go on you start really thinking of the harder ones and it really keeps that positive attitude around.

23.01.2022 NEAT or Non Exercise Activity Thermogenesis has been found to contribute to one of the largest portions of our variable energy expenditure. When dieting you may find that over time your body will start adapting to the energy deficit you have placed it in and sometimes it could be due to the subconscious lowering of your NEAT.. Other words, your body makes you lazier. Now there are plenty of ways that we can affect our NEAT and here are our 6 favourite ways ...to create some autonomy with your activity levels. 1) Aim to achieve 10,000 steps per day. If you are an office worker, getting your steps up could be very difficult. Scheduling in times for a walk or light jog is a great way to increase your NEAT and therefore assist with your weight loss and management. 2) To add to the steps per day, instead of the elevator or escalator, try to take the stairs. Those small autonomous movements/choices add up over time. 3) Are you driving around for 15mins to get the park closest to the shop you are wanting to go to? Not only could you of parked further away and gotten to your destination earlier but you could also contribute to the overall energy output for your day. 4) Instead of Netflix Sundays make some outdoor social events where you might go to a park, climb a mountain, go for a bike ride etc. We live in a wonderful country with some spectacular places to explore. Go and soak in the area you live in. 5) Park down the road and walk or ride the rest of the way. Saving the earth a bit on carbon emissions plus increase your daily activity. 6) Don't' sit at your desk at lunch or your break. Get up and move around. Go get some sunlight. Trust me, that email or job can wait. clear your mind and come back refreshed and ready to go. All in all, the answer to increasing your NEAT is simple... STOP BEING LAZY! MOVE YOUR A$$ See more

She also secured 2nd place at nationals in Synchro diving ... Although take away food most definitely isn't ideal in regards to nutritional value but sometimes those social occasions can be a huge benefit to our mental health.... SO!! 18.01.2022 Everything seems impossible until it is done. Fun fact: When HIIT Kawana first opened, there were countless unforeseen issues that arose such as equipment getting held up in a container and not getting released until 1 week before we were meant to open, or keys not being handed over because the property manager went on a holiday.. All of these little roadblocks definitely clouded the possibility of opening on time, however, our need to open on the 18/02/2017 w...as such a huge driving force that we stopped at nothing to get it done. Here is a perfect example of if you want something bad enough, you will stop at nothing to achieve it. Yes, it was hard. In fact, it was one of the hardest moments in Kat and Ryans life, however, it made them grow and learn to adapt to the challenge that was thrust upon them and in turn made them stronger people because of it. What is it that you want more than anything and are you being held back by the fear of it being difficult and painful? Don't fear that chance to grow... Embrace it!! See more

17.01.2022 In this day and age, it is all too common to find people more focused on the grind than the recovery. It is all well and good to grind for a short period of time but when we are trying to grind continually, eventually you will grind yourself down to nothing... One way to introduce a better recovery cycle, is to focus on your sleep.... An average adult requires 7-9hrs of restful sleep per night (not just laying in bed) and sometimes this can be missed due to bringing the stressors of life home with us and we fail to wind down enough before shutting our eyes. Here are a few recommendations to introduce before you go to bed. These are all very small changes but can make a massive improvement on your sleep and therefore improve the way you attack your day. 01.01.2022 The demonising food culture has been around for a long time and it is a culture that we believe has not assisted in creating a healthy relationship with food. There is no doubt that there are foods that would be better suited to achieving optimal health by including moderate amounts of dietary fats, a robust amount of vitamins and minerals and quality whole protein sources. Achieving these dietary goals would be better sought after by eating a range of different foods i...ncluding nuts, whole grains, legumes, fruits, vegetables and lean meats however just because something you eat isn't "optimal" doesn't mean that you will cause adverse health effects from indulging in, what is considered, "bad foods" from time to time. A healthy relationship with food means that you have control over the choices you make when selecting your day to day diet and not resulting in a strictly emotional response with your selection. This can all start by taking the time or hiring a nutritionist/dietician to educate you with the food choices you make. The feeling of empowerment around your nutritional choices will then assist you in seeing that there are not good or bad foods (to an extent) only bad/unhealthy diets. So next time you look to smack back a packet of Tim Tams, don't bow your head in shame that you have those cravings. Have confidence in the fact that you can have 1 or 2 of them and still be in control of your diet. Have confidence in the fact that it will not ruin your progress. Understand that although it is not highly "nutritious" it does have sugars in it that can be utilised for your next training session. I would like to thank @thefitnesschef_ for not just creating a great infographic but also continually spreading his amazing knowledge in creating a healthy, sustainable relationship with food.
