25.01.2022 BUSHFIRE FUNDRAISER Hey everyone! I would like to host a boot camp in the park to raise money for the bushfires! A good way to get active while doing it for a good cause! I’d like to host it on a Saturday or Sunday morning and charge $20 per person! It’ll be a bodyweight workout for any fitness level so everyone and anyone can come do it! It’ll run between 45 minutes and 1 hour. I’d like to have a minimum of 10-15 people (the more the better) to get the best result possible for everyone affected. If this is something everyone is interested in please message my personal page Thalia Ogston or my gym page so I’m able to get an idea on numbers and hopefully raise some money for struggling families! All proceeds will go towards the firefighters and families affected by the fires. Thank you!

22.01.2022 Had a fabulous weekend away with my little family! Ate some burgers, drank some beers and relaxed. Did I feel guilty? Absolutely not! My body may not have liked it as much but my mind and soul loved every second. But I am glad to be home and back in routine. My stomach is very sensitive to certain foods so as much as I love a good burger, I’m excited to get back into my nutritious and stomach friendly foods! This is just a reminder to not ever feel guilty about slacking off on your nutrition and exercise. If you ever fall off the band wagon or just need a relaxing weekend like I did, take your time, get up, dust yourself off, don’t feel guilty and just get straight back into it! Hope everyone had a good weekend and hope you have an even better week!
22.01.2022 Celebrate your little wins! It’s important to celebrate even the smallest of wins on your fitness journey. Even though you may not be at your 20kg weight loss goal or your 100kg deadlift goal, you need to look back and remember how far you’ve come. Your main goal is not going to happen overnight, it will take time but you know what? It will be more sustainable. My little celebration moment was when I was able to do skipping the other day without weeing myself #mumlife 9 months postpartum with baby #2 and I can finally skip! The easiest of movements to some but an absolute nightmare to me Be kind to yourself and remember there are no quick fixes but it’s definitely worth it. What’s something you want to celebrate?

21.01.2022 Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all! This is the time of year to indulge in good food and drink, spend quality time family and not stick to routine - without feeling guilty! Some handy tips during this festive season: - listen to your body when it’s full, don’t gorge til you throw up - make good food choices where you can (throw some salad on your plate)... - drink water in between alcoholic beverages. It’s important to drink water as alcohol dehydrates you and being summer, we are dehydrated enough! On the day’s between Christmas and New Years, try and get back to routine with exercise and nutrition but if you don’t, DONT FEEL GUILTY. What you do between New Years and Christmas is more important than what you do between Christmas and New Years! See more

19.01.2022 Last thing I wanted to do today was workout. Away on holiday and at the beach, I’m determined to keep my routine similar to what it is at home. Hotel gym had nothing to work with but I still got it done and felt great after it. Always think of how you feel after a workout! Those endorphins get me every time! Do you workout while you’re on holiday?
19.01.2022 Do’s and Don’t’s of kettlebell swings. First clip - bending at the hips - thrust the hips forward, locking the hips and knees - arms relaxed ... - straight back, shoulders back Second clip - squatting into the movement - hyperextension of the hips and spine - using arms to drag up kettlebell - rounded shoulders The secret to kettlebell swings is all in the hips. You bend at the hips then thrust the hips forward. This thrusting motion will cause enough momentum to bring the kettlebell up without using your arms to drag it up. This is why my arms are relaxed in the first clip. No squatting, just bending! As you thrust your hips forward, lock them along with your knees keeping your body in a nice straight line, spine neutral - not hyperextending as shown in the second clip. Hopefully this helps you if you struggle with kettlebell swings! Happy Tuesday!

18.01.2022 With the New Year closing in, I’ve decided to release some new Personal Training packages! There is 1:1 and 2:1 if you would like to bring a friend and more importantly, save some $$. 3 different options to suit everyone. 1. Casual personal training sessions: these are for those that are just wanting to do 1 session a week and wanting that push from a trainer. This will be training focused only. 2. 6 week personal training block: this block requires a minimum a 2x sessions... a week. The price stays the same whether you do 2 or 5! The more you do, the cheaper it adds up to be! You will get photo and measurement tracking, fitness tracking and nutrition coaching. And a little added bonus is you can get up to 2x bootcamp sessions a week, FREE. 11.01.2022 A shoutout to my youngest client, Hayley. She started off needing a lot of rehab but with consistent training, she has gained so much strength! She has gone from pressing 2kg up to 6kg - with ease! It may not seem like a lot but Hayley has come so far in her journey and I am so proud of her. She was so excited when she realise she could actually do it and that’s why I love what I do! Tackle the 7’s next week and smash more goals

This is only for the time being because I have started studying with a second job. Starting THIS WEEK, there will only be Wednesday 6pm and Friday 6am. 08.01.2022 A huge shoutout to one of my clients. 8 weeks in and we redid her fitness test and measurements today. Lost 5cm off her waist and 3cm off her hips. She has been consistent with her training and she has made huge improvements. Technique is better, she is lifting heavier weights and she shaved off over a minute off her fitness test time. Her nutrition was a bit up and down but unlike a lot of people, she admitted that to me which is great! Her goal for the next 8 weeks is to knuckle down on nutrition and I can’t wait to see the next lot of results! Remember that results take time! It doesn’t happen overnight and it’s a lifestyle. So proud Her son also joins in with our sessions and she mentioned that his performance in basketball had improved as well. Super stoked! I love kids who join in and love training!
08.01.2022 Harsh but a truth post coming at you. One of my clients said to me yesterday as she paid for her sessions, do I get a refund if I don’t see results? it honestly got me thinking, some people actually have this mindset. If that were the case, I’d have abs myself but... I don’t. And unfortunately it doesn’t happen that way. Let me tell you why. Personal trainers such as myself only provide the tools and guidance but YOU are responsible for the changes you want to make. Y...OU are the only one who determines the results. if you are only doing 1 PT session a week, chances are your results will take longer to be felt or seen. You must also be making an effort AT HOME to get the results you want. If you are not 100% committed to changing and implementing healthy habits with your nutrition, you might not EVER see results. I don’t control what you eat, YOU control what you eat If you decide to train with me: I will push you to your limits. I always take in consideration any injuries but if you simply tell me you don’t want to do something but you don’t like it, chances are I’m going to make you do it I will help and encourage you in any way I can. I always encourage my clients to up their water intake, up their daily step count and make small changes to their nutrition. I’ve had clients come in, they absolutely love it and have had amazing results. I’ve also had clients who have quit after 2 weeks. You simply need to be committed. I know exactly what I’m doing and what I’m talking about but I can’t make people make the changes that need to be made. YOU are the only person who is control of what YOU do and the results YOU achieve. P.s the client who said this gave permission for this post and has come such a long way with her training. I’ve noticed weight loss and she picked up dumbbells double the weight she started with
