20.01.2022 Took the trek up Mt Walsh this morning, great hike/climb with some challenging sections so I would advise experienced hikers/climbers only. Fantastic view from the top!! Don’t be out off by the 4hr round trip notifications as most would manage it in 2 or less with a stop at the top to admire the view

16.01.2022 This is a wasp. I found it in my pants this afternoon after hiking 10km...it was heading North...I don’t know how it got there but it wasn’t happy. Let’s not do this again.

13.01.2022 It’s Sunday on Yul-Yan-Man which translates to ‘Walk Slowly’ in Kano Kabi and this Lace Monitor is certainly taking his time ... such a beautiful creature - Pru

12.01.2022 A lot of work goes into preparing for our adventures. It’s not just about safety but also the FOOD!

12.01.2022 Today’s navigation exercise led to something that I did not put there earlier for the participants to find

11.01.2022 If you are looking for a lesser known trail on the Sunshine Coast I highly recommend Yul-Yan-Man (means ‘Walk Slowly’ in Kabi Kabi) Track, Glasshouse Mountains. It’s one of my favourites due to its varying grade throughout, with some good challenging sections and not many people usually. I head out along Yul-Yan-Man and back along Soldiers Settler’s Trail. Probably not one for the younger kids or beginners and it does get very hot so early in the day is better . This morning I followed it with a visit to Scenic Lookout Glass House Mountains which is an awesome spot for and adventure with kids or a BBQ lunch as there’s a short (about 800m) track, amazing views, BBQ areas, tables and facilities .

11.01.2022 Might come in handy when planning your next hike

05.01.2022 My impressions of the different types of hikers you might encounter on a hiking trail.

05.01.2022 There are 3000 recorded snake bites every year in Australia and one or two deaths. This snake expert says people have sadly died because the bites weren't treated properly or quickly enough. Learn what to do if you or a loved one gets bitten by a snake this summer.
