17.01.2022 While 2020 will be remembered as the year of the COVID-19 pandemic, millions of people were also affected by extreme climate events - from Australia's Black Summer, to the record-breaking Atlantic hurricane season to the Siberian heatwave. In Australia, weather-related disasters cost $35 billion for the 2010s decade according to research published by The Climate Council today. Much, much more needs to be done, both to address carbon emissions AND to help our communities cope with climate disasters.

16.01.2022 We are pleased to announce that Artesian Venture Partners have completed an investment in Hillridge Technology. And like our farm weather insurance technology, it was all done 100% online. Only after the investment did co-founders Dale Schilling and Dai-Kyu Kim actually meeting Artesian AgriFood Director Robert Williams in person! It's a brave new world of post-Covid19 venture funding.

Turns out that Australia's crop is down by 30% this year due to poor weather, and by as much as 90% in WA's Ord Region. Bad for consumers, but catastrophic for the farms affected. And until recently, there was little that many farmers could do about it -- something we are working hard to change.
