25.01.2022 Over the next two weeks I will be trialling LJ training on Thursdays @ 6-15. if we get enough athletes I will pass it onto Steph to continue the sessions throughout the season.

23.01.2022 Ladder drills are a great for agility. You do not need much space , but it is better to have an acceleration out of 10m. Running , hopping, single leg , double leg , single leg holds , hop scotch. For every forward motion you can do backwards as well . If you don't have a ladder use markers to replace the rungs.

17.01.2022 Using the starting blocks can be a challenging experience. They are designed to produce force and a powerful exit is what the athlete needs to execute. One of the key coaching areas is the "triple extension" from the front "power" leg. Executed correctly it sets up a strong , powerful start to the sprint race.

16.01.2022 Chanelle won the female sportsperson of the year award at the Rouse Hill Rams presentation night. A true reward for all the hard work she puts into training for her events. She is also a great ambassador and popular role model amongst the Rouse Hill and Ponds athletic communities. Well done Chanelle

16.01.2022 Today it's the "star drill" . Small space 5 cones you can change method of movement , add a tuck jump at each cone , timed event . :)

15.01.2022 Mountain climbers. 3 cones 10m length one in the middle. 5 Mtn climbers at each cone , 6 rotations = 90 total !

12.01.2022 Whilst we are all under the current lockdown situation. I am going to post daily a training drill that can be performed in minimal space. Today is the mirror game -10m x 5m , 9 cones. Here Jess is the leader and Chanelle has to follow without faltering. See who does the best . Eg; times , faults ! :)
