He played over 300 games, has coached and trained many players for both Hills and Parramatta. 16.01.2022 Important Announcement - NSWRL suspends all competitions over COVID-19. A special meeting of the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) Board has agreed to postpo...ne all Community Rugby League until at least 1 May 2020, effective immediately, while all major NSWRL competitions have been suspended until 31 May in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This will include all training, trials and competition games. The Hills District JRLFC&TA Inc. will also be suspending any Touch Football and Oztag Training and Competitions effective immediately until at least 1 May. The decision was made by the NSWRL in partnership with the National Rugby League (NRL) and all affiliated states, and after carefully considering the advice from widespread consultation with NRL Chief Medical Officer Dr Paul Bloomfield, government agencies and other key stakeholders. NSWRL Chief Executive David Trodden said the recommendation covers all Rugby League matches, trials, training, courses and other club activities in NSW and is made with the health and wellbeing of players, coaches, staff, officials and volunteers and the broader community as a paramount consideration to assist in slowing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Community Rugby League, which involves more than 100,000 grassroots players across NSW, from Under 6s to open age, was due to kick-off on 4 April, but will now be delayed until at least 1 May. NSWRL’s 13 major competitions (Which include Canterbury Cup, Ron Massey, Sydney Shield and all Junior Rep comps), most of which started last weekend, have been suspended until 31 May. The later date will allow teams to train and prepare earlier in May if Community Rugby League is cleared to resume. The NSWRL will continue to actively monitor the situation and is committed to making decisions in relation to COVID-19 and its impact on Rugby League activity based on the advice from the Federal Government and other medical experts. 15.01.2022 Important message from NSWRL - 'No training session whether in small groups or not has been sanctioned'. Good Evening All, I hope this finds you all well and with the excitement of the NRL coming back on the 28 May, leads us back to a little bit of normality.... This has lead to quite a few asking with the relaxing of some restrictions, can we start to train again in small groups. At this stage no training session whether in small groups or not has been sanctioned. This means there is no cover for anyone to participate in any organized training sessions at this stage. We have been in constant contact with our Insurers and the NSWRL, who have also been working closely with the Government, on when we can return and what conditions will need to be followed upon the re-introduction to training and then playing this season. As previously stated, our proposed timeline is for Training to return at the beginning July with games to resume mid-July. This will all be confirmed in the first week of June by the NSWRL, I thank you for your patience as we await further advice. 14.01.2022 The Hills Bulls community is saddened by the loss of former player Grant Lonergan. Grant unexpectedly passed in his sleep and was a beloved Dad, son, brother and friend. Grant and brother Dean proudly played for the Bulls in the 1980s. All of us at the Bulls are thinking of those who knew Grant and send our condolences to the Lonergan family.

14.01.2022 Nathan Gremmo Memorial Shield this Sunday at Crestwood!! Join us this Sunday for the Nathan Gremmo Memorial Shield which commemorates one of Hill’s Bulls finest young men. Nathan’s legacy is a reminder of the importance of organ & tissue donation and this weekend the Hills Bulls will take on Dubbo CMYS in this annual event. 13.01.2022 Vale John Clifford The Hills Bulls Community send our sincere condolences to the Clifford family on the passing of John Clifford "Little JC" on Anzac Day. John was synonymous with the Hills District Touch Association. He started to play Touch Football with the DMR lunchtime competition and in 1978 played with the Swiss Screens team winning the inaugural competition and repeating the feat the following two years. Little JC continued to play and referee Touch Football in the... Hills competition, and eventually coordinated the Touch Referees group and managed this group for some 30 years, working closely with his mates and members of the Hills Bulls Committee. Overall, Little JC was a very dedicated family man whose life revolved around his wife Christine, son Damien and daughters Charlene and Renee. The dictionary defines a friend as loyal and accepts you for who you are during the good and bad times. Friends are honest honest enough to tell you when you're not a good friend. Along with good friends who are pleasant, loyal, and honest, most people want trustworthy friends that have got your back. The passing of Little Johnny Clifford is the loss of a friend. 11.01.2022 2020 OZTAG REGISTRATIONS Oztag registrations will commence on the 1st of September, 2020 with the competitions starting from Friday the 9 October, 2020. The competitions will be played as follows (some slight changes):... Mondays - Boys 15/16's and Men's comp. Tuesdays - Junior Mixed (14-16) and Senior Mixed comp. Wednesdays - Under 15/16 Girls and Ladies comp. Fridays - Under 6 to Under 14 Boys and Girls. An important change for this year is that Active Kids Vouchers will now be submitted by players/parents at the time of registration. Please bare with us while we distribute information across facebook posts over the next two weeks. At the moment you should start organising your teams and be ready to register when the registrations commence on the 1st September.

11.01.2022 Hills Bulls 2020 Junior Presentation Day at Crestwood Oval on Sunday 29th November 2020. We will have the Canteen/Bar open on the day, so that food and beverages can be purchased at the presentation. We still need to understand that COVID-19 Protocols remain, which means we are limited to 500 people at Sporting Events and Social Distancing measures will need to apply on the day.... We have broken down the following sessions for the relevant age groups (attached) which will also give people enough time between sessions to clear the area for the next session to start. It is forecasted to be up to a high of 39 degrees, so please ensure all parents are reminded to ensure they and their kids all have sun screen, hats and even drink bottles clearly marked with their names. For Junior Football, attendance is limited to one parent/carer for each participant. A maximum of 500 spectators in total as per guidelines and participants are allowed to be at Crestwood Fields 1&2, and social distancing must be adhered to. 10.01.2022 David Gower Joins the Bulls! We are very pleased to announce the signing of NRL star David Gower to the mighty Bulls for season 2021. David made his NRL debut for the Wests Tigers in 2009 after a stint in the UK, he then spend time at St. George and Manly before signing with the Parramatta Eels in 2014. All of us at the Bulls welcome David and are excited to have his experience influence an already impressive senior squad next year.

The Woellner family were heavily involved with our great club with Keith, Norma’s husband, President and Life Member while Keith Jnr, Norma’s son, the halfback of our first A-Res Grade Premiership team. Norma was an integral part of our club assisting with the canteen, cheerleading, and always opened her home for team after match functions. 08.01.2022 What an awesome year for the mighty Hills Bulls 10/2. They were able to pull off the coveted double... Under 10/2 2020 Minor Premiers & Grand Final Premiers. Credit to the boys who showed that they deserved to win, outplaying their opponents in every possible way. The boy's defense was impenetrable and their attack was brutal. This left their opponents simply stunned with no reply. The boys showed true Bull's spirit, determination, and teamwork, they all played their part to perfection. As their coach I couldn't have been more proud and I truly believe they will be a force to be reckoned with in years to come. UP THE MIGHTY BULLS. Ziad
