20.01.2022 LETS LEARN ABOUT DOG BREEDS - CAVOODLE The Cavoodle is a cross breed of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Miniature Poodle. Cavoodles have soft, Poodle...-like coats which tend to shed a small amount since Poodles do not shed but Cavaliers do. The Cavoodle comes in a variety of colours, including black, white, chestnut/white, black/white/tan, gold, red, ruby and apricot. The Cavoodle temperament combines the best traits from the Cavalier and the Poodle to create a smart, affectionate, playful and eager to please. They are highly trainable, obedient and are very easy to teach. They thrive on the company of their family and other household pets. While they are great with children, it is important to teach any young children who come into contact with the Cavoodle to be gentle and that the dog is not a toy. The Cavalier side of the Cavalier Poodle tends to balance out the neuroses of the Poodle side, making it a laid-back and calm companion. Despite this, Cavoodles should not be left alone for long periods of time as they require almost round-the-clock company. Like many breeds, Cavoodles who are left alone and not given enough physical or mental stimulation can develop behavioural problems.

19.01.2022 LETS LEARN ABOUT DOG BREEDS - BICHON FRISE The Bichon Frise is a small dog famous for its curly, fluffy white coat. Bichon Frise puppies are highly trainable, ...obedient and intelligent, though housebreaking can occasionally be a difficult task. Training and socialising should begin from a young age. Their origin as performers is quite obvious in the Bichons temperament they are famous for being entertaining and love being the centre of attention. They are happiest when they are with their family, but they are naturally sociable and tend to get along well with everyone. They are great companions for families with young children, the elderly, and households with other pets. Make sure any young children are told to be careful however because their fluffy toy-like appearance can lead younger kids to play rough with them as if they were a stuffed toy. It is important that owners do not allow the dog to do things they wouldnt allow a larger dog to do (such as jumping up on people and furniture), as this can lead to dominant behaviour where the dog believes it the leader. The Bichon Frise requires a daily walk in order to give it the mental and physical stimulation it requires. Like all dogs, if its needs are not met, the Bichon can become anxious and develop serious behavioural problems. Bichons also need a safe, enclosed indoor or outdoor space in which they can play and use up their energy. Despite their independent spirit, Bichons thrive on human company and their temperaments are very affectionate, lively and intelligent. They are charming and gentle and are not known to be barkers.

06.01.2022 LETS LEARN ABOUT DOG BREEDS - PUG The Pug is a small breed of dog known for its wrinkly face and curly tail. Pugs have square, compact bodies with deep chests ...and well-formed muscles. Their coat is short and glossy, and most often is fawn-coloured, but they can come in apricot fawn, silver fawn, and black. Their coats are quite easy to groom with a firm bristle brush and only need to be bathed when necessary. They should be dried immediately though as they are sensitive to temperature. Their facial creases need to be cleaned frequently. The Pug has a tail which curls over the hip, very strong legs and ankles and small feet. Its lower teeth often rest further forward than the upper which means that most Pugs have under bites. Pugs are well-suited to many types of owners, including elderly people and families with young children. Though strong-willed, Pugs are very rarely aggressive and are very fond of children and get along well with other pets. They can be quiet and placid but also playful and lively. They are quite lazy in nature and tend to enjoy napping, which can make them a great low-maintenance companion for elderly people. They are very loyal, affectionate and loving towards their owners and often follow them wherever they go. They tend to have rather poor road sense, so it is imperative that they are kept indoors or in an enclosed outdoor space. Even though they are a relatively inactive breed, they can be prone to overeating and so should still be taken on daily walks.

06.01.2022 LETS LEARN ABOUT DOG BREEDS - LABRADOR Labradors are famous for their loyalty, affection and patience, which make them great family dogs. They love to play an...d swim and are excellent with children and other dogs. They love to have a strong, assertive owner and need to feel like they are part of the family. They are extremely intelligent and trainable, and should be trained and socialised from a young age to ensure they do not become destructive. Labradors are widely regarded as being one of the smartest breeds of dog. They are also known for their enthusiasm and puppy-like energy, and this generally lasts until the age of 3. Daily walking is a must for a Labrador. They are not noisy dogs, but will bark at noises from unseen sources.

04.01.2022 LETS LEARN ABOUT CAT BREEDS - SIAMESE Siamese Cats are highly intelligent, talkative and sociable. They have a deep, loud voice and enjoy chatting with their... owners. They are often described as being dog-like in their fondness for playing fetch and capacity for affection. Siamese Cats are smart and sporty and need lots of toys and playtime to keep their body and mind occupied. Never leave one by itself with nothing to play with, or it will find creative ways to wreak havoc. These entertaining cats love to be the centre of attention, and since they love to be around their family, they do not do well when left alone. Busy families who spend much of the day at work or school are recommended to only get a Siamese if there is another pet to keep it company. The Siamese coat is quite unique, with a light-coloured body with a darker face, paws, ears and tail. Its fur is short, soft, and silky. The most common colours are seal, blue, chocolate and lilac, though some associations accept other colours, such as red, cream, fawn, caramel, apricot and cinnamon. Their eyes are large, almond-shaped and blue. They have a long, muscular body, a long neck, and long, lean legs with small, oval-shaped feet and a long, thin, whip-like tail.

03.01.2022 Darling Miss Lilly

02.01.2022 LETS LEARN ABOUT CAT BREEDS - BRITISH SHORT HAIR The British Shorthair is a medium/large-sized cat breed with a broad chest, short, muscular legs, round paws a...nd a thick tail. Its head is round with large eyes and a short but broad nose. The British Shorthairs single coat is short and dense yet plush in texture. Blue tends to be the most popular and well-known coat colour, but British Shorthairs can also come in black, white, red, cream, silver, golden, tortoiseshell, cinnamon and fawn. Their eyes can come in deep gold, orange or copper. Frequently referred to as gentle giants, British Shorthairs are easy-going, friendly and affectionate cats that make great family companions. Theyre loyal and will follow their owners wherever they go, but they are not desperate for attention and are quite quiet. Very energetic and playful as kittens, British Shorthairs tend to calm down around the age of 1, and as they become older can become couch potatoes. They are suited to being indoor cats as they do not possess the curiosity of other breeds that so often gets them into trouble, nor are they likely to wander off.
